good way for clark to find out...

i thought a cool way for clark to find out about lexana romance was for him to be listening with super hearing to when lana called lex when he was standing right beside him. Since it says next episode clark confronts lana about her relationship with lex i defintely though clark was gonna find out that way. Then again how much could he take if he did super hearing, i mean his mom would be missing and he would learn that the person he has loved since he was 6 is in a relationship with the guy he possibly hates the most in the world. anyways what do you guys think???

I was thinking the exact same thing.
It seems lately that Clark doesn't use his powers as much.

What's up with that.

He could have used superhearing or supervision, etc... either one would have let him know about Lana.

I was hoping that Lex would say, "Lana - Hey, babe... I really don't have time to talk right now, but we'll talk about it tonight over at my place." And then grin about it.

Yeah, I couldn't agree more. I don't understand why the writers forget about Clark having certain powers. Like they focus so much on specific powers he's going to use in the episode that they forget about the other ones. He used super speed and x-ray vision, but he couldn't even use superhearing when he had the chance.

I too thought Clark was going to use his super-hearing then, but afterwards I was glad he didn't find out. This episode had a lot of much-needed character progression which would've been missed had we been subjected to another 15 mins of Lana's ranting of secrets and lies.

I agree with the idea of him finding out and what really happened him not finding out. It would have been cool for him to just look at lex like are you serious? but i think they needed the finding out of it for next weeks episode.


I know really whats up with clark if i had those powers i would use them every little chance i could, as long as no one would see but still, for me clarks powers are what drew me in when i started watching smallville.

I thought he could easily have done that. But I'm glad he didn't because his mother needed help badly, and worrying about his ex would definitely not be the Superman thing to do at that moment.
