Remember we were told that Zod and Jor-El will not be who we think ..or something to that effect...SOoo does that mean that Lionel has been Jor-El all this time.. or that JOr-El is going to be appearing as something completley different,, nothing to do with Lionel???

LIONEL cares for Martha, not Jorel. Jorel would not have taken to the games the same as Lionel either.
