Clark is taller then Lionel?

Sometimes in film set ups they will make certain characters appear taller to impose the feeling of power over another person. It was purposely made that way to make it seem as though he was in complete control of the situation. See the movie "The Graduate" for similar concept in staging.

Isnt the deal with Clark and Lex close up scenes that Tom has to stoop down a bit so he doesn't look SO MUCH taller than Rosenbaum? I thought I read that somewhere.

Well, whatever they did, it worked. Tom loomed over JG... what a pleasant addition to the scene as a whole!

I guess this is one of the things they wanted us to notice. I thought when the camera was behind Lionel, they were the same height. then when it moved behind clark, Clark was now taller.

Though I knew what imagery they were trying to portray, I just thought that was interesting that their height changed in the same scene.

However, could have been just that they were very close in height regardless.

I thought Clark had always been taller than Lionel. He was taller than Jonathan (and pretty much everyone else who's ever been on the show :p) and Jonathan was ever so slightly taller than Lionel wasn't he?

MR is 6'0 and TW is about 6'3 or 6'4. JS over over 6'0. ED is 5'8 (?). KK and AM are 5.4

That's all I know, doesn't mean I'm right but that's all I know.

TW towers over everyone but JS. A lot of the time (scene with KK&AM mostly) the camara tricks are played to make the differnt look less speaily in kissing/hugging sences. I've seen pictures (offical episode still) taken at such a angle Clark and Lana look the same of course the picture in the background showed just what a angle it was taken at.

JG looks short then MR at times so I'm not sure how tall he is, but I know MR is 6'0

I've heard Tom sometimes has to take his shoes off when he's doing a shot with KK or AM because otherwise he practically hovers over them. I thought they mentioned that during a commentary, but I could be wrong.

I'd imagine he's a good 6'3 or 6'4.

When I saw this thread, I was actually kind of suprised. John Glover has never been known for his height. It has always been John Schnieder and Tom Welling as the two tallest people on the show. John is 6'4" and Tom is 6'3".

Lionel is definitely pretty tall. You can tell in his scenes with Lex that he is taller and if MR is 6.0 then JG must be 6.1 oe 6.2.

Glover is more 6'0" 6'1"

Rosenbaum is 5'11" 6"0

KK is listed at 5'4" but she has been quoted as saying she's 5'1" on a good day
