Is anyone a fan of Dean Koontz?

I personally love his work, and he has written some of my all time favorite books. I also feel that he has often been labeled as being in the shadow of Stephen King which I feel is unfair. Koontz is just as a great a writer as King is. In some cases, I actually prefer Koontz over King.

For those that have read his work, what are some of your favorite books from Koontz?

My personal favorite which I consider to be his best is Watchers. I also love Twilight Eyes, Lightning, and his two novels involving the character Chris Snow Fear Nothing and Seize the Night. I have read most of his books and liked them all. These are my absolute favorite from him though.

I loved The Watchers. That was a freaky book. Couldn't really get into the movie though. That's the only book I've read by him, but am interested in his other work.

Rachel,

The movie sucks so no worries on not being able to get into the movie. It really has nothing to do with the book at all.

Haha. Okay, good... one less "sucky" movie to rent. I think if I remember correctly, Corey Haim came out in the movie... I haven't always much cared for Stephen King movies (rather movies made from his books), but I'm sure the books are much better. It's odd that I don't read many suspense or horror novels because I love "scary" movies. Though I couldn't really call many of today's scary. Any other of his novels turned into movies? Just curious.

BTW, thanks for calling me Rachel. I rarely get called by my full name. Only 6 letters but I guess there are too many syllables for some people. ;)

I like Koontz better than Stephen King. I just finished reading "By the Light of the Moon" and really enjoyed it. Another Koontz book I liked was "Odd Thomas."

A little late to the show here, but I am a pretty big fan of Koontz myself.

IMO False Memory, and The Door to December are two very good reads, as are the first two Frankenstein books.

The latter are more brain candy but still entertaining.
