Maddie= New Ryan?

Does any one rmember Ryan the phycic kid back from early Smallville, he was in like 2 episodes. Is it just me or was Maddie like a sort of girl version of the Ryan character?
1) They are both young kids
2) both have powers
3) both look up to clark as a sort of big brother and hero
4) both know his secret

I think that they should make Maddie come back her interaction with Tom was great, I wouldn't mind seein' her coming back for more than a couple of eps. Lois was mean though, I don't think she would be a good mommy.

She was also like Evan since he was a second generation meteor freek.

I thought that was really stupid how she started to control the glass that her father was controling. She can't even control her powers and she overpowered her father, bogus and unrealistic.
I know she would eventually become more powerful though.

While I'm not trying to justify it, but could the father have transferred some of his power to maddie? Thus giving her a bit more control? :confused: Or could she have more control over her powers because she was focused on one thing?

Maybe it was a "Desperate times" thing. Like Clark with the rocket. (He flew dammit!) He flew up to the rocket...but fell to Earth because the urgency was gone. It was kinda weird...but hey, it's a show!

i was to into the episode to notice anything but small bits and pieces which kinda did remind me of 'stray' but what really reminded me of ryan was at the end when 'her grandmother drove up the driveway to pick her up' and then clark and maddie said there goodbyes

Of course I remember Ryan! But Ryan was way better than Maddie. Remember the last scene--Clark and Ryan saying goodbye while Five for Fighting's "Superman" played. It was so touching...one of the best endings ever! That episode also holds a special place in my heart because it was the first Smallville episode I ever saw. :)

I liked Maddie just as much as Ryan. You know I knew it won't happen but part of me hoped she'd stay around more.

I liked Maddie about as much as Ryan too. I was also hoping she'd stay.:lol: Clark's great around kids and it would have been nice for him to have a little sister (with wicked cool powers!) to bond with. There's always a part of me that wished that Martha had had that baby in season 2, or that they had kept Ryan. I think having a little brother/sister around would really do wonders for Clark.

I agree about Evan. I didn't get at all attatched to him.:p

I know, Maddie (like Ryan) really brings out this great side of Clark. Which really was nice to see after all the junk we've been seeing.

I think it would have been great if Maddie had stayed as his little sister; they almost has a father/daughter relaionship. Maddie brought out this great side of Clark I almost forgot he had and maybe if she had stayed around she might have helped push him more towards being Superman rather then this whiny annoying guy.

it was a nice episode, that girl was a really good actress, had me in tears. My mom clapped at the end and said this was heartwarming epi for Easter. lol my mom sometimes..lol but it was nice to know she wasn't the one killing , just like how ryan didn't mean to hurt those bc of his powers of reading peoples mind..
but the one that that bothered me..was when the little girl was reunited with her grandma, i was thinking at that moment, i hope her grandma doesn't send her to summerholt ( i think thats how you spell it), or is it bell reeve. im so confused but anywhooo..that little girl deserves to be loved...
