lana using lex?

the only redeeming factor of a lana-lex relationship would be lana using lex to her advantage. in an interview with allison mack, she says that the new angle written for lana is a really great one for her, and i can only believe that if they have lana use lex to find out secrets about the spaceship/clark. either way, i think its pretty cheap how the show is making her look seedy, manipulative, devious... basically every characteristic that has NEVER been attributed with her character.

even if she does somehow find out information from lex and "saves" the world, her reputation is pretty tarnished.

it would be cool to see someone using lex for a change though. especially after that smirk we saw after lana kissed him.

I was wondering about that possibility. It would definately be a better twist than straight up Lexana imo.

It would be a great twist. I doubt Lex fans would love it too much, and understandably so. But it would certainly be a real step up for the Lana character, and come as quite a shock.

I think she's using him to get back at Clark. The reason I believe this is due to the way she paused after the first kiss for a few seconds, as to think how to go about the next move the right way. It was very interesting to see. What do you think?

I definitely got the vibe that, as they were telling each other they trusted each other "100%", Lex and Lana were both lying to each other.

Is Lana using Lex? You betcha! Remember, he has that little tidbit of information on her (coughgeneviveteaguemurdercough).

And I thought KK and MR played that portion just right. You could tell they were both lying.

I'm a Lex fan and I wouldn't mind it. The way that they're writing Lana's feelings right now makes absolutely zero sense and if she's only pretending to have feelings for Lex in order to play him in some way (like finding out about Fine/spaceship/Clark) then that would actually make sense. It would be an interesting twist anyway and be far better than Lana just latching onto him because she's emotionally vulnerable about the breakup.

I think part of her kissing Lex was because:
a.) she can't be alone for two seconds
b.) to spite Chloe
c.) hurt Clark
d.) She's messed up (but this goes had in hand with (a))

I think they are using each other. Lana thinks she's using him to combat Clark but Lex is an essence using her because he most likely knows this and is using it for his Lana high.

I won't mind that as a lex fan too. But that's giving Lana way then I think is in her. I really don't see that happening, Lana is just a reall really horriblly written character.

Yeah, I don't know if its Michael's acting (like we were talking about on the Void forum, Michael's acting being off in Lexana scenes) or a conscious decision on the part of tptb, but I'm not getting any sort of lovey dovey feelings from Lex. More smug and satisfied than anything else. That's why I think he's totally using her just to get to Clark (or maybe that's just what I want to think:p)

I think Lana was definitely lying about trusting lex because everyone nows he's bad news, and as for her feelings I really dont know whats going on inside her head, but it will be interesting to see what happens

As far as lex, I think that he really does like lana and he's loving the apect of spiting clark in the process. But lana definitely isnt doing it because she really likes lex, she's either using him or still just very confused.

i the TPTB want us to think lana has some attraction to Lex because he's the "dangerous man" in her life... yada yada. I am however really hoping that it's a storyline that is who is playing who. I'd like to think Lana has matured a lot since S1 and she is capable of using her knowlege of lex's fascination with the ship to her advantage.

I think the first kiss was like oh i think i like him, the second one was like she was trying to spite Chloe. I'm not really sure she is trying to get back @ Clark cuz she's not really like that, even in magnetic she only went out with dude cuz of the magnetic pull. She was gonna break her date with him after talking to Clark cuz she didn't really like hime, @ the end she told Clark that she was subconciously trying to make him jealous, i think that meant even though she was being forced to like him, she didn't but was enjoying it cuz Clarkie was gettin jealous.
