YAY FOR CLOIS!!! Was anyone else rejoicing that we got to see some Clois this episode? I love how those two interact! Also, I think we will see a lot more of Lois now that she is Martha's Cheif of Staff. :D
Did anyone else notice that they both had red shirts on at the begining of the show? :D
Yeah, I rejoice whenever there's Clois. V. happy... I did think that the chief of staff position offer was a bit abrupt.

Yay! Clois. :D Always nice to see. And hurt Lois is even more fun. Great bits between them--I loved it!
Wonder how much Tom's directing influenced Lois getting more screen time. ;)

Lois saw Clark in a different light, when she saw how good he was with bringing around the little girl.
Hmm, they didn't tear each other to shreds verbally...
I was seriously waiting on her to get him when he started objected to Martha's decision to make her cheif of staff...lol.

They were unhappy, because of the secrets, she knows that. What would make her think Lois would be any different? I mean, she saw how happy clana was during the summer.

I didn't much care for the early Clois scenes, but I loved the one in the Talon apartment. They seemed to be talking *to* each other for a change, not *at* each other. TW and ED could have such good chemistry with each other if they'd just write Lois better, and let her have more meaningful interaction with Clark. Doesn't have to be romantic, but it has to be something of substance.

Let me think, they continually hurt each other. They may love each other but they keep on hurting one another, they know this but keep going back for more and keep hurting each other!
They have more trust issues then just 'the secret' and thus more porblems. Clark doesn't see the real Lana, he has her up above on a pedistill(s) (even Lana said so in season 2). Lana has *big* issues of her own (love/happiness issues) which everyone can plaily see in Void.

Because there is absolutely nothing that TPTB have done in the entire time shes been on the show to cultivate anything but antagonism between these two (and not the sexual tension kind), and now we have a very brief moment of pleasantness and Martha saying that shes "destined for something greater," and we're supposed to believe this is setting up some future romance? Shallow. I'd sooner beileve Clark would go brokeback with Lex than end up with Lois. Just MHO. In the Superman mythos, there are 3 main characters: Clark, Lex, and Lois. So far the Lois they have given us is nothing like the original. Ultimately, her name does less to define her than her actual character, and her character indicates she aint the one.

I agree, I like watching TW and ED together. They do an excellent job at their Clois. I think that they should make Lois more important to the storylines, like do more of those stories with Clark Lois and Chloe. I liked those and how they made it so that Lois contributed in an important way. :D

I disagree I don't think 'absolutely nothing that TPTB have done in the entire time shes been on the show to cultivate anything but antagonism between these two (and not the sexual tension kind)'. They've had some of moment of pleasantness and lots of moments of antagonism but not nasty-I hate you-antagonism more like tearing, buging etc.
Martha's comment that shes "destined for something greater," was meant to be about being a start reportor. At least that's how I took it.
I've love to see Clark go brokeback with Lex, that might reinvigorate my love for the show ;):p:lol:

yeah agree and llike the views. But they could have shown more compassion from Clark...i was aching for Clark to save Lois while she had glass in her...then superspeed her to the hospital while she was unconscious. I agree with Martha pushing Clois - That's looking like it. I really enjoyed when Lois said Clark was good with Kids ...and the expression she had.
MY GOD LOIS LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL I COULD CRY!! especially on that sofa when she got the job. Why the hell Clark didn't say something loving ...like hold her hand and say she will be okay...i dunno... anything god damn it!! doesn't gough/millar know the word CLOIS!!! and how many lovers of Clois waiting for their FIX?! im bloody going cold turkey for weeks for Clois!! (im really excited) I love darling Durance
although the episode was rather crap. APART from Clois - that's the only thing that was worth the wait for a week

Look, It's not like it was love a first sight for both of them. IT IS too early for ANY romanctic CLOIS let alone a relationship. If you were paying any attention in that episode he was concern for her when he saw her in the hosiptal. Like he would would be concern for Chloe or Pete. If its not romantic at least you got some Clois.
As for Martha liking Clois, I think there is too much reading into that.

Lois Lane123, well said!
ok i may agree with the martha kent part ...that it may have been just a coincidence she told Lois to go and check up on maddiel, also with the job. But i know for sure she likes Lois and i think she will start hinting more to clark in the future. Still the best Clois was that had a clear visual was "aqua","Exposed".
Why do people keep saying its too early ?? how is it too early? when will be the perfect time?
when the show ends? - I don't want to see the show ended without Tom & Erica have something big. Im sorry but that's the way i want it (screw the comic book ancientology). always remember this is a show with short time span ...its never too early. Those geeks who write for smallville are way to obssessed with Clana still.

It's too early because Clark and Lois are never even supposed to meet till Clark starts working at the Daily Planet. The banter they've got in SV, they're actually supposed to start that at the DP. If they began a romance now, that'd completely mess up everything.
And anyway, yes, I was so excited to see Lois back! She's got a spot in the credits, they might wanna put her in a few episodes.

The Chief of Staff thing was really, really dumb.
The chemistry between Lois and Clark is great. It is really the best of any two characters on the show. After a rough start, they also really found the voice of the Lois Lane character. What is a shame is that they now have no idea what to do with her.
The college drop-out working at the Talon thing was the most plausible, but they have rotated her through a lot of really weird stuff. I mean, they sent her back to High School, then she was in College for a week, then semi-homeless living on the Kent Farm, then the Talon, then JKs campaign manager (?), then MKs Chief of Staff (??). That is just laziness from the writers.
Worse, it underlines the fact that the actors are a lot older than the characters they are playing. Lois is supposed to be 19-20 with one semester of College under her belt. She has a lot of life experience compared the Chloe, Lana and Clark; but to Johnathan Martha she is just a lost kid.

I was just saying that since you are all for Chloe becoming Lois, that you would want to see less and less romantic chemistry between Clark and Lois.

don't worry lois123, im here to defend our views. Listen people we are saying its good to see 'Clois' which means the implementation of the romance basically how we want it to start, ofcourse we know they are not romeo&juliet yet! but if you have been watching they clearly have shown hints going back to episode "Gone" . The writers are giving us hints but personally speaking ...i don't know about anyone else i want Lois and Clark to start having more time together with Clark beginning to feel something but cleverly keep it in the background of the show. I don't want them to be a couple NOW ...but hopefully they can be closer. If it was up to me i would give Lois all the moments Clana had with Clark over next 2 seasons

The problem right now is Ericas overplaying when ironic, and to much "dissing" clark in a way we all did when we we`re 10 and feeling something for that special girl in class.. A more mature romantic, "our souls are bonded for eternity" feel between them, iguess, is what will show that they truly belong together... And my guess: Bryan singer will kick SV`s behind when it comes to such a difficult storybuilding

Jonathan kent was supposed to be around in the comic books ....why is he dead in SV? so my point is anything can happen....if these writers want to they can even make "shelby" the dog a superstar ...just by constant promoting.

No I'm into comic books but I do like the way the chronology is in the Superman mythology. The way Lois and Clark began their romance , which is when they start to work together in Daily Planet. That's the way it has always been since the beginng of the Superman mythology, thats the way it should be. I don't mind that Lois and Clark having a close friendship between them at least it will probably concide with how their romance would blossom over time eventually in Metropolis. But having a Clois romance before they become the ppl would be just wouldn't add up.

You do know we have little time of SV remaining ? I understand where your views are coming from ...you wana see every detail of how they "grow up" ...i just feel panic that they will end the show without ever seeing with my own eyes Erica and Tom...have something special, the chemistry will be something out of this world. I think season 6 should start some feelings between the two. This season finale should leave a clue for us in my opinion.
im just amazed with how people read the Clois....now im hearing they are like bro/sis? *Big Sigh* ...well all im saying is how come ive never thought about brother/sister when i watched the whole Clois from start to Now...when two people bicker with each other but deep down they care about each other its usually how "love/hate" relationship blossom like in other films/shows....how some people end up thinking about brother and sister?!? i honestly have to sit down and have a ciggarette *sigh!!* in fact its so stupid i should laugh.
