... then it'll be almost an exact ripoff of the Ryan story arc! Kents find super powered kid, super powered kid's evil/demented/abusive parent/guardian tries to take kid, parent/guardian gets defeated, kid goes to live with family they never knew they had with the promise that new family member will accept them for who they are. I'm just waiting for the subsequent episode in which they find out Mattie got sent away because her grandmother couldn't stand all the broken glass anymore.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the episode, especially whenever Clark and Mattie were on-screen together, but sheesh... formulaic much?
