I thought she was supposed to be searching for Lucy? She has been in Smallville for most of the season.

She was searching for Lucy, she left after "Arrival". We never got an explanation of why she came back to Smallville (probably her father came back to the Fort).

Ugh, just kill Lois off, I hate her. You can resurrect her with purple with pink spots kryptonite on the second to last episode of the series and have her say "hey, I'm back." and send her off to metropolis and keep her out of the series finale so it still fits with the comics since you are so hell bent on doing that.
