Vote for your favorite zelda game and say why. Other would be Links Awakening, Minnish Cap, some other one, or can't decied. My favorite is Link to the Past because that one will always be a classic for me. Can't wait for Twilight Princess Though:p. Didn't find anything like this so I hope it's okay.

I've only played 3 of those so far, but I remember having the most fun with Majora's mask.
Yeah I can't wait until Twilight Princess is finally out too!

That seems very far away. I thought it was coming out in May, but I hadn't heard anything. Have they been moving the release date around??

I don't know thats just what i'v heard. I hope it comes out in May, that would be in time for my birthday.:p
I've only played two zelda so far, "ocarina of time" and "majora's mask" and as far as i can remember i really enjoyed playing "ocarina of time", the graphism were really beautiful, the story well developed, the moving really accurate...I remember having spent hours to try to end it up :) And i don't remember having had so much fun with majora's mask.

For those of you who want to know the release date it's officially sometime in November. I've heard the 25 somewhere. If you want to know more or talk about Twilight princess go to the thread titled " the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" ( sorry don't know how to do links)

Ocarina of Time without a doubt. It was great to be little Link and Adult Link, and the things we had to do in was great. From getting the three stones, and going to the five temples.

Mine is Link to The Past. But that's probably because I was a teenager when SNES was popular. I can still play through it to this day. However, when I first started playing it, it took me months to beat it. I can play through the entire game now in less than three hours.

I saw November 05 before now on a entertainment website (like amazon)... they change the release dates often as they don't realy know when it comes out or that the game is pushed back (Look at ffxii that's been put back for over a year now).
I would say The Legend Of Zelda: The Twilight Princess on the wii will be the best zelda game.

I've only played Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but I'd have to say Ocarina of Time. Majora's Mask was way too hard for me and the Dungeons were horrible. The dungeons in Ocarina of Time were all pretty good except for the Shadow Temple and Fire Temple. The only thing I like better about Majora's Mask is the masks; I had so much fun with the Zora one.

Ocarina of Time without a doubt. Never really enjoyed any of the ones after that and Ocarina had the best story and the best gameplay.

I went with Ocarina of Time. It was the first game I ever got and played on my N64 years ago.
The only other Zelda games I've played are Majora's Mask and Oracle of ages/season. So I don't have much to compare it to.

Twilight Princess is everything Ocarina of Time was and more. If Ocarina of Time was great, then Twilight Princess is definitely the best. Seriously, TP it OoT gameplay, only better, with a great story and better graphics.

I loved Ocarina of Time, mainly cause it was the first Zelda Game I played, and I didn't really enjoy Majora's Mask as much, but yeah, there's my opinion:D

I've played most of these, and I would have to go with Ocarina of Time. Although I've played the older ones, OOT was the one that turned me into a Zelda freak. It's something special when a video game franchise you like turns 3D for the first time. Twilight Princess was a lot of fun, but I'd still put OOT on top.

I'm still midway through playing Twilight Princess.
I've never been a big Zelda fan. I'm not a graphics whore but I just couldn't get into the old NES and SNES titles and I tried playing Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but the silence is really creepy.
This time around, there's still no voice-acting, but everything just feels more epic and I have a blast swinging my sword and aiming my bow & arrow with my Wii-mote. Trust me - the definitive version is on the Wii and thus makes Twilight Princess my favorite Zelda game by far.
But judging from its lack votes, are Midgard and I the only ones who voted for it?

Well, I can see why, even though I disagree with it. You have to understand that the definitive game for most Zelda fans will always be Ocarina of Time. My opinion is that this is mostly nostalgia as TP's controls and story are far superior, but that's still the way it is. OoT was the first Zelda of it's kind, and it defined the way Action Adventure games should be for a long time. We do owe it a lot as it set very high standards for these types of games.
But I didn't finish OoT until after TP and was thus able to see it's flaws more clearly than those blinded by nostalgia, IMO. If we're comparing them clearly on which is the better game, TP has to win handsdown. The one thing that OoT has up on it is many years of building it's fanbase and word of mouth, as well as the nostalgia factor. Give TP the same amount of time to build up and I bet this poll would be very different.
PS: Replace "OoT" with "ALttP" and the argument is pretty much the same. ALttP was a great awesome 2D adventure game, but it doesn't hold a candle to the 3D iterations and I think the nostalgia factor is a part of it being voted for in this poll too.
Lastly, I'm not saying that no one voted for OoT or ALttP for any reason other than nostalgia. I'm sure there are some that find they are genuinely better games, for some reason. So please don't put those words into my mouth. The nostalgia is a huge factor, clearly, but I don't think it's the only factor.

Really? I felt that A LttP had a far superior story. I didn't specifically like it for the nostalgia, just that the game and, to me, the gameplay, were far superior.

Ocarina of Time

OoT is easily the best game of all time for me. The series as a whole is magnificent (aside from maybe wind waker). ALttP was the first one i was given. My mum bought it at random in a game store. Talk about luck. It had me encaptured from beginning to end. I got a copy of OoT for christmas the year it came out. My mum was one of the last people in europe to recieve the game buying it a week after it had been officially sold out in the UK. I didnt leave my TV for two weeks. Playing and replaying it.
Ocarina of Time beats Twilight Princess on difficulty. Honestly i believe OoT has the best difficulty selection of ANY game. Twilight princess on the other hand is slightly easier. This is not nostalgia talking, its hard fact if you check enemy damage. Ive completed OoT 8 times and TP 3 times. Ive found OoT harder despite playing it after TP and having a lot more experience with OoT.

Definitely Ocarina of Time, with Majora's Mask a close second. OoT gets the nod because it has better dungeons than MM, and the constant reversing of time in MM was a big pain to deal with in the later parts of the game.

I pick a link to the past it's my favorite game, twilight and Ocarina were great. But a Link to the Past I never get tired of playing (and beating). Besides what other Zelda game out there, and link and his foe,do that Wile E. Coyote fall in the game?

I'm gonna change what I said earlier:
1. A Link to the Past
2. Ocarina of Time (I have to admit it edges out TP)
3. Twilight Princess
I really hope I can add Skyward Sword to this list somewhere. Hopefully it will exceed expectations!

I've heard a lot of great things about Twilight Princess but have never actually played it.
My favorite would have to be ocarina of time. That game was so addictive I never wanted to put the controller down.

Ocarina of Time is my favorite. Twilight Princess is a close second though. And, personally, I loved Wind Waker. I thought it was fun and different!

i would have to go with ocarina of time. then follow that with "link to the past" then "twilight princess". i've played all the console ones but not the handheld versions. not really into stuff like the gameboys or dsi's.
with OoT i felt like i was transported to another world. the dungeons were fun, all except the water temple. i couldn't stand that one. link to the past was fun too and i remember spending so many hours on that game. twilight princess was great too but some of the characters in there creeped me out. i just wasn't used to the new look for the game. but just like OoT it took me to a strange new land.
i remember playing the original zelda game and how long it took to finish it. but i ended up ordering the "legend of zelda collector's edition" for the gamecube and played it again and realized that you can beat the game in just a few hours. so simple.
early this year i got into a zelda craze and had to get the games again. i already had OoT for GC but was playing it on the wii. so i ended up ordering "the wind waker" then followed that with the "collector's edition" which comes with the original zelda,"adventurs of link", OoT which i already had, and "majora's mask". all 4 games with a bonus wind waker demo in one disc. awesome. once i finsihed playing all the classics, i finally started twilight princess and loved it just as much. zelda has to be the best game series ever next to metroid, resident evil and silent hill.

Hmmm... I thought I'd already posted here, but it turns out I hadn't. Ah, well. I pick "A Link to the Past," hands down. I STILL love playing that game (I still own my Super Nintendo). It's so complex, full of fun dungeons, cool baddies, lots of awesome items, and tons of adventure! All this talk of Zelda is making me want to play it again a.s.a.p.! :D

The Legend of Zelda was an great game for its time but now its boring on the collecters edition disc.
The Adventure of Link I think is the hardest Zelda game to date. It also wasent as fun as the first at the time.
A Link to the Past was fantastic. It is still one of the best to date and I still play it on my DS.
Links Awakening I thought was ok for a little bit but got boring fast
Ocarina of Time is the best Zelda game ever! It is probably my favorite game ever.
Majoras Mask is really hard and I still havent beat it yet.I tried to beat is today and im so close. But its too complicated.
Four swords is too easy. I beat it in a hour.
The Minish Cap was fun but I was stuck on the last level.
The Wind Waker is probably the worst Zelda game ever.
The Twilight Princess is awesome but OoT is still better.
The Skyward Sword looks awesome and Im going to bet it next year.
