I just wanted to know which Harry Potter book people liked the best.

(I tried to make it a poll, but I hit the wrong button by mistake.)

I like POA, OOTP and HBP best but if I had to choose a favourite it would be Prisoner of Azkaban. I don't really know why because I enjoyed them all the same but POA was the book where they changed from kids to teenagers which was the start of a whole new layer in the books. Also, the introduction of Sirius was great.

My fave is definitely the OotP. I dunno why, cuz it doesn't really make sense, seeing as how I was devastated at Sirius's death. I think it may be partly because so much was explained. The prophecy was a major revelation because it explained Voldemort's reason for attempting to kill Harry. My second fave is HBP, for the same reason. We learned about the Horcruxes, which also explains more about Voldemort. Why he did not die when his killing curse rebounded upon him, what exactly his diary was, etc. And while I hated that DD died, it was a major step in Harry becoming more adult and learning that he'd have to face Voldemort alone. DD was not invincible, and would not be able to help Harry when the time came for the ultimate face-off between him and Voldemort. He also realized that Voldemort targeted anyone Harry got close to, and therefore broke up with Ginny, even though I personally hated that he had to.

Okay, I've got to stop. If I go on, I'll start rambling off every little reason, and I don't really fancy that long of a post. This is probably my longest one ever as it is. :)

My fave is GoF. I just found it the most exciting, and fun to read. I really enjoyed Harry, a real underdog and not even supposed to be there, competing in the challenges. Not to mention I loved evil Mad Eye Moody. Mwahahaha!

My two fave is probably GoF and HBP. They both just had so much going on in the book.

 My post will be pretty long including the quote!

Anyway, yeah the explanations are really interesting. Questions everyone has had from book 1 are finally answered so they are my favourites too. Also, they are a lot more adult in the fact that not even the most powerful people are invincible which is a good lesson for younger kids to learn. It might not be a happy ending.

And, lets not forget, they are the longest!

OotP without question.

First of all, it's the longest, which makes me a happy fanboy. I like the complex plot, and how several subplots all intertwined into one. It was the darkest yet and really pushed the characters to new places. It shook up the series with the death of Sirius, and Dumbledore's explanation of the prophecy and such was brilliant. Most of all, it introduced Umbridge, my favorite character ever. I think she's a better villain than Voldemort and was written so well. Also, her and McGonagall's fights were awesome.

Followed by PoA, GoF, HBP, SS, and then CoS, which I absolutely hate.

Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix for me.

In my opinion this is the point where Harry and the novels both grow up from childrens fantasy to simply fantasy.

I would have to say that my favorite book is tied between Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Half Blood Prince. All of the books are awesome so it is always a hard decision to decide on one particular HP book as my favorite.

While Goblet of Fire probably had the best action and suspense, I must say I enjoy learning about Voldemort more than Harry so I will go with the Half-Blood Prince.

HBP because all the characters are more mature and fit together nicely. And we learn more about Voldemort and Snape. It also has a lot of drama.

I actualy loved gof I just love the whole Twizard tournament and how Harry has many many ups and downs throughout the entire story.

I also love hbp beacause J.K.reveals many new, well charector relationships. I have always wanted Giny and Harry to be together and from their last conversation I can tell that this might continue once harry finishes off voldy.

Has anyone heard that in the next book Krum and Ron will be in it? That will probably make things hard for Hermione.
