Anyone notice when Lex had flatlined and was talking to his mother, he wear the same glove like in the comics where he lost his hand from kryptonite poison...

Yes he was also wearing that glove, in season 3 I think it was where that old lady could see peoples futue when she touched them, and when she touched lex she saw him wearing the glove.

He also lied to Lana. ooOooo ahh foreshadowing lol. Well it's Smallville, there's always a lot of forewarding especially in this season.

I really enjoyed the Lex foreshadowing, especially now in terms of his choice since "Lexmas".
I did happen to find his mother a little creepier in "Void" than in "Lexmas". Maybe that was also affected by his actions?
Gosh, I hadn't even made the connection about the glove...I want to go back and check that out now :)
Good to see Lex's destiny get some play at the same time Clark's does.

So, does this mean everyone agrees that Lex saw the future in Lexmas? Or is there still disagreement on that?
I think it was rather apparent that the futures of both Clark and Lex were foretold by their respective loved ones.
John Schneider did a fine job conveying hope when he vaguely spoke about Clark's future as Supes.
Ah, JS, you are missed.

I'm not sure if he saw the future, but it's interesting to note the things that have happened from that episode's foreshadowing, like Lex and Lana getting together, a senator Kent, etc.
I wonder how his decision to go after Jonathan will affect that perfect world Lex was in during "Lexmas".

Does anyone think Lex still has hope? Do you think he could try and be a good person? Or do you think his destiny is sealed (I know it is because of the comics, but I mean, do you think Lex will try to learn from what his mom told him before crossing the line again to darkness?) It didn't seem as though Lex cared about what she said, or he was trying his best to ignore it. He lied to Lana about it without much hesitation. EVIL LEX!
That was SOOOO creepy and cool when Lillian said, "Please, stay here before the blood washes away whatever soul you have left," and Lex said, "Blood? What blood? What are you talking about?" and she said, "The blood of all the people you're going to murder," and then when the camera panned down and showed Lex's GLOVED HAND!!!!!!!!!!! That was COOL!
By the way, did anyone else notice that aside from the obvious glove, there was another reference to Lex's future scene? When Lillian said, "A patch of fresh flowers lay waste to the emptiness in your soul," or something like that. Remember the flowers, when Lex touched them, they all wilted and died? SUCH COOL SYMBOLISM!!! :)

I liked the symbolism with the episode as well. Smallville has it's moments when I am truly surprised and then the moments where I want to throw the remote at the TV.
As for Lex becoming a good person again...I don't think so. He has turned to the dark side. He only told Lana what he did because he is trying to get into her pants.

Not trying to be an a**, but this episode was in season 1, Houglass. The same footage were shown in the 4th season, episode scare...
And I think it's great they show that Lex is aware he is going down the right path... And the line he said to lana... my mother is proud of me... That's awesome. In a way, it shows how he really want to be the villain of the story!

Yes very nice moment with Lex seeing his mother and her reframing that he can still make a choice and walk away but time is running out for him as the darkness fills in. But what I really didn't like was that Lex once again Lied to Lana.
I swear Lana doesn't really appreciate honesty in the aspect that Clark lied to her time and time again, and yet she thinks Lex is telling her the truth.
Ah poor poor Lana she just might never learn at all. . .
