And here I thought Smallville was on a good streak... I guess not especially if I'm not that much looking forward to the upcoming episodes either.
Oh well. I'm just saying, I thought it would've been a better ending if it ended with Clark seeing his mother with Lional when Lional was about to leave and said, "Goodbye... Clark".

I was sort of expecting a little music at the end of the show like they always do, you know.

Not sure what your talking about, but seemed to be a very good ending! Not every ending has some tear jerking music scence. The end was done nicely, it sets up future events and should make you think what is going to go on with Lionel and Clark, or Lana and Lex........
Every season the 1st few and last few episodes of each season get really good, this seems to be no different. Except this season seems to have better middle episodes then most of the other seasons.

Yeah well I'm actually glad this wasn't a tear jerker episode but that doesn't mean the can pull of another powerful ending like we've had in the previous. Esp don't forget about the Cybrog ending when Lional blurted out Kal-El. Any ending with Lional is a powerful and more depth episode. I don't expect them to use him all the time but there could've been other parts they used to end the episode.

This ending was amazing well done, no music needed.

The only thing that surprised me is how Clark kept calm. He just found out Lionel was responsible for his fathers death. I thought Clark would rip his head off when he saw him again.

Did you guys notice how Lionel empasised "Clark" when he said "Good night.... Clark"?
I found it rather abrupt. :-/

Yeah, Lionel saying "Good night... Clark" or Clark talking to Martha about him would have been a MUCH better ending. :P
Oh, and michaelcox, I totally noticed that. :D It was cool.

He didnt find that out! He only found out that Lionel knows his secret.
I hated the ending. Enough with the Clana please!
