At the end of the episode Lana said Lex's mother should be pround of the man he's becoming. Do you (I do) think Lana's words erased any doubts or feeling of giving up the path he's on?

Her words made him think "Mom's wrong it's all working out, see Lana's already seeing me differently, she's not with Clark, things will work out"

I'm not saying he was going to change to the path of the good and true before Lana walked in the door but I think her words did erase his doubts.

I think it's too late for him now. It's over. He's on his way of becoming who he will be.

Lex is evil, he made his choice. This is why the Lexana storyline is not going to have legs. Something big is going to happen at the end of this season to change everything around once again. This is the season where "Everything we've waited to see, will happen." I think the middle of this season took a detour from that slogan but it should ring true by season's end.
