View Full Version : Horrible Episode, Dialogue

I thought this episode was absolutely horrible...like nearing the garbage that was "Thirst". The dialogue was SO BAD and so unbelievable and cliche. If I recall correctly, the two writers who penned this episode typically are bad, so I guess maybe my expectations were too high. With the exception of Lex's glove (from "Hourglass"), which I loved, I felt like I was on a (bad) trip throughout the whole Lex/Lillian scene. The dialogue was so stiff and clunky-- Lex: "I've just been injected with a hypodermal needle and I think my body is in shock." Lillian: "You are going to kill a lot of people." Jeez, I thought it was so choppy and disconnected, and I think Lillian telling Lex he's going to be a mass murderer is getting way ahead of herself...it's called character development, not character bounds. But then again the writers have had five seasons and Lex's character hasn't really gradually progressed--it's more like one episode he's good and then suddenly he's bad. Errr, this episode was so frustrating. Anyone notice that "Lana episodes" tend to be the worst episodes? You can deny it, but deep down you know it's true.

I thought this was an awesome episode! Much better than what i expected. My only gripe is we were kinda just flung into the story halfway, but Clark and Johnathan made up for that!

Overall, this episode was great. But I didn't think all the people dying in sickly ways was necessary.

I thought it was a decent episode. I really liked the characters meeting up with the dead. Interesting concept.

It was a good episode, better than I thought it would be. The Jonathan moment at the end really made it better. Plus they set up the fact that Clark knows about Lionel. It was an episode that I view as a chess game, all of the characters, or pieces on a chess board, are being strategically placed for later episodes.

I really liked this episode. I thought it was really pushing us towards something. I really liked Clarks conversation with his Dad. Long overdue that was. It was really good!

Ugh, awful. The only part that was good was the scene with Jonathan.

Chloe's dialogue was bad, can the girl just not speak like a normal person for 2 seconds when she tells Clark Lana's in trouble?
The dialogue was ten times better then Aqua.

This episode was great. The most interesting aspect was the forshadowing of Clark and Lex's futures- Clark must save the world, while Lex knows the murderous path he's headed down. Also, Johnathan's conversation with Clark was a brilliant scene. Now Clark will have to deal with the MB knowing his secret. This episode provided a great start to what will likely be an epic season finale.
