The med students death was the most gross, nasty death I've seen on SV.

It was so just gross. This isn't a a horror show why did he have to die in such a nasty way. Was it meant to be cool? Or was tptb trying get fans of the Saw or those kind of moives?

I haven't seen the Saw because I don't like that kind of thing so I'm just going on what my friends told me of the Saw.

Not just that death was gross. What really mimicked a horror movie death was that guy's death after Lana hit him with the beaker. I won't recount it here.

That was pretty nasty. I am glad that I was done eating at that point. Not so lucky when the other girl started hecking blood. That was pretty nasty too.

I closed my eyes and hid behind my hands. No joke. Tense scene and a saw in motion = Ferd going into feather covered chicken mode.

If you think about it, it only assumes the goriness. Otherwise, there was more blood when the girl died on the bed then there was when he got sawed! I dont think it was that bad, he did shake a lot though...that was kinda funny.

Yeah right, ferd. You know you were rubbing your hands together and licking your chops at the possablility of blood and guts.

i couldn't watch, right when i saw him starting to fall i had to look away, it was gruesome. the girls death scene was pretty intense as well. even though it was nasty i'm glad it was done because the scare factor really improves the quality and enjoyability of the show

Both deaths were pretty gross. Of course you could just see it coming with the saw, so I had fair warning. With the girl and the blood, I was caught off guard and grossed out.

It's good that they got kind of gory with the death, it makes the show a little more mature, rather than making it seem more like a 7th heaven rated g show.

I have seen much worse than that (thinking Hostel & Wolf Creek, nevermind the chainsaw massacre movies). I thought the bodies shown at the beginning of Hypnotic in Honduras were much sicker than this. I don't understand how he fell on the saw. Did he slip on something? It seems like the beaker she broke on his head didn't stun him enough to knock him down.

You can't compare a tv show scene to a movie scene. That's not fair. Bottom line is it was pretty graphic for a show on the wb at 8pm.

That was wierd, I guess he was really dazed. I knew he was going to fall on it, but it took a long time for him to do it. Lana has a lot of blood on her hands.

The death in "Forever" is still the grossest to me. The one where the guy holds up the girls frozed decaptated head and throws it at Chloe and Lana and then smashes to tiny bits with red random chunks thrown in.

That was the first time I was turned off a little bit from a death on smallville. But this one was bad too, just because it lasted so long. We got the point when he fell on it. The car scene mentioned earlier by someone was probably one of the fakest looking deaths I've ever seen.

I was talking to some people on MSN, so I kept looking from TV to computer, and I didn't see him actually fall on the saw. I got the drift though once he actually died.

But, I was just kind of "meh" about it. -shrugs-

They're has been deaths more gory than this one on SMV. Like Stray said, that head being tossed. . . That was gross.

So, how many people has Lana killed now?

I thought the guards death in thirst was pretty bad, not because it was gross (the saw death quite suprised me for SV) but because the guard had no clue what was going on. He must have been thinking ...

"ok Ive just been stabbed in the chest by a guy's finger, its still in me, and he's stood a good metre away, and I think Im dying, but how can he...? WTF?" *flops to ground*

We now move over to the next species...the Lana. It carefully stalks its prey and pushes it into a barn pitchfork. It also has been known to kill its prey by channeling centuries old demons, emitting fireballs from its eyes, and tripping them onto active power tools. It is usually seen mating with big dumb extraterrestrials and like a lemming has a natural tendency to jeopardize its life. If you see one, get away. If cornered, use 100's if not 1000's of candles, but be forewarned that it will be mating time for you. Do not under any circumstances be near it for more than 5 minutes as it attracts deadly predators seeking to hunt it and any companions down.

I was more grossed out by the girl hacking up blood. It made me gag, especially when it looked like she might spew blood all over Chloe.

*It just occured to me that she was a pretty convincing actress. Kudos to her, whoever she was.

The thing that bothered me the most about the saw death was that it went on so long. And I did wonder why she didn't just Lana-fu him to begin with.

The pencil-in-the-ear-death still gives me shivers. But really, having your faced squished into the infected bloody face of a dead, rotting, contagious corpse takes the cake.

What bothered me about it is that Lana could have easily unplugged the saw instead standing there watching that guy get killed. It seemed to go on for several minutes! And then when she and Clark looked at each other - was that supposed to be some kind of romantic Clana stare? (Nevermind the body.) Ugh!

Miss L

That was just the slightest glimmer of Clana. Lana's all happy that Clark came to save her and that he's alive, but he's all "Wait. Can't. Show. Feelings. Must. Do. Stone. Face."

ITA she could've unplugged the saw. I know she's strung out and traumatized, but wouldn't an automatic reaction to save another life kick in? Apparently not for Lana.

Funny you should say that. We were watching together and my hubby said right after the saw scene, "What, has Smallville turned into a horror movie?" He was disgusted, though. He's so falling out of 'like' with SV.

Honestly, I thought the saw death was not that gross, considering we knew it was coming a mile away and he fell forward on it, blocking our view. More disturbing from that episode (thinking of my kids) was Clark getting stabbed in the chest with a glowing hypodermic needle and dying on the floor. Too many needles for my comfort. The girl coughing up blood was bad, but unless my eyesight was going, they panned away so far I don't think my kids would recognize what was going on.

I found it amusing how Lana said she "was fine until it came along". It seems like she was referring to the wrong Adams family member (should have said "until Thing came along").

Another set of nasty deaths would be any of the ones in the Episode Forever...The one where the guy turns everyone into manequins (sp?)...when they shatter...that is pretty nasty...not on the level with the Lana death as far as gruesome but still just freaky

I could kind of tell that the ones in Forever where fake, so it didn't really bug me a whole lot.

^^ I like your avatar.

If looks fake, then there is no way I think it's creepy nor scary. More like I'm laughing like this -----------> :rotfl: :rotfl:. That's why "Forever" House of Wax death didn't freak me out.

Now the guy from "Delete" with the pencil through his eye that's scary. Nothing should be put in people eyes. Heck, I hate even to go to the optimiristic(sp?)....see even I get wigged I can't even spell the specialist . Now the "Void" death was the most gory ones that didn't look fake nor cheesy I thought. Definitely to me one of the most gory of the series thus far. Whereas "Thirst" one with the spa had too much fake blood in the water. All you need is a little bit of blood to get the point across ;).

It wasn't in his eye, it was in his ear, but nonetheless, the sound effect and thought were pretty gross.

ah, that's right. I'm thinking of the movie The Faculty where Jon Stewart got a pen in his eye.

I think the baseball bat beating death that Tina-as-Whitney gave Sgt. McNulty (was that his rank?) was the most brutal.

I don't know if this one was mentioned since right now I'm too lazy to look in the previous pages lol. The stabbing of Clark by Jeremiah in "Tailsman" in S3 where he is basically bleeding to death.

That scene with Lance soooooo uncalled for. I was screaming at the tv "Move on, move on, move on" but the stupid scene lasted for a very eternally long 5 seconds while we watched that stupid saw cut that guy.

I think Tina's death was the worst so far.

Tina Greer? Nah, that wasn't too bad (at least in my opinion).

The worst in my opinion was the Hamburger Helperizing of Dr. Walden's hand by Lionel after being roasted to char & ash. That request "send it to me" (referring to Walden's hand) to the coroner was a typical, sick line delivered by the true MB. It was awesome though. Man how I miss those days.
