Maybe it was the wine, but I just laughed when the med student guy fell on the cutting tool.

All people in the medical indrustry are insane... :p
Why was a bone saw just sitting there and plugged in anyway?

And how was it that the guy didn't see lana picking up the saw?

She picked up a class container behind her back.

that was completely unnecessary, but well deserved due to his awful acting.
im convinced that the casting department must only get 5 minutes to cast before they make a decision... they can't seem to hire a single decent guest-star.

We're just lucky Shelby wasn't in this episode. Shelby = guarantees a death.

yeah self defense. But still. She wasnt even phased when she realized the guy was dead. I hope to God that i never get so used to seeing dead people that i can watch something like that. Ugh.

Even if it is self defense, you still have legal problems. The government just doesn't go "oh you said it was self defense, go home." Especially if this isn't the first person you have killed.

You certainly don't wanna get on Lana's bad side. ;)

She and Shelby could make millions in the hunting business.... I hope that Lois keeps practicing those self-defense skills, those two vs. her would not be pretty. ;)

Actually, if the prosecutor believes you and the evidence is in accordance, that is what they say pretty much. But if they don't, you have a trial. And she can just get in line behind Chloe, who has also killed in self-defense.

They do in Smallville, apparently. Chloe's escaped the law on this issue twice, I think ("Hidden" and "Hypnotic"). The only time somone got in trouble for killing someone was Lois ("Recruit"), and that death ended up being caused by the meteor mutant rather than Lois.

Trist was the wrose death because no one seems to care, Lana didn't seem to care she killed "buffy". Buffy wasn't a person who went bad, she was just like Lana, a girl who was effected by something out of her conrtal that made her go evil. (like lana did)

But you still would have to talk with a prosecuter. They aren't just going to believe you blindly. There will still be an investigation. Oh well though. I accept that on Smallville, all of them have killed someone and have no hang ups over it.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I guess in Smallville all just gets forgotten. I guess TPTB think that as long as we see it's self-defense and not malicious we won't hold it against the character. :\

I think the med student got killed cuz the writers are starting to catch on to protecting CK's secret now.
Before when he usually savagely threw people to TKO them they go to Bellreve as crazy heads. But now....why not just kill the people who are thrown by CK and find out about his strength?
