Damn, Clark got to Honduras almost instantaneously over land. Has he gotten faster?

Yeah, that was hella fast. I'm just assuming that what we saw wasn't real time.

And he's still got his jacket on.
Do you ever need a jacket in Honduras?

I'd say that looked a darn bit faster. Oh and about the jacket, Clark has gotta stay stylish...even in Honduras.

I wish clark could have learned spanish. it would have been funny to see him looking at a spanish dictionary while running to honduras.

Clark is wearing his jacket because even in Honduras he's still cooler than a polar bear's toenails.

yea panning up into space and showing the continents was nice.
i dont know if that is real time though (in the sense of, real time in the episode for running from where he was to where he went)
because as far as we saw, that is still the same amount of time he could spend going from place to place in smallville as they sometimes portray.

Yeah, I noticed that! VERY quick!

I was wondering how he managed to find his way there when half the time it seems he's barely intelligent enough to tie his own shoes. But seriously, though, I was impressed he could navigate to Honduras without any maps. I would have ended up in Alaska.

I'm just wondering how we could see the red blur from so high... Clark must've been as tall as a skyscraper or something...

Im glad he went and asked if ppl had seen Brainiac. It could have been that Clark was running through the jungle and found the ship himself "by accident"...this way is a more believable at least.

I don't know if anyone has said this thus far, but.. How the heck did Clark know how to get to Honduras? You would think even the superheroes would need to stop and ask for directions if traveling by foot, no matter how fast.

Clark/Superman is supposed to be very intelligent. Maybe he paid attention in his Geography class. Or maybe he looked at a map.
But to answer the original question: is Clark faster? I think his abilites have gotten stronger/faster over the seasons as he has aged.

If you could run as fast as Clark how would you know if he ever got lost?
Point taken, though. :)

Well, he certainly can jump farther than he used to and think it's intentional on the part of the writers (yay for the writers for once!). Contrast that in Insurgence Clark could barely jump between two buildings and how far he "jumped" to the missile in Hidden. His powers have definitely amped up in the last few years.

I said right after S5 spoilers came in that Clarks powers were gonna be enchanced. It was all from the little bit of downloading he did I betcha.

I have a question, Clark can fly now right? Why do they never show him flying, and it seems like it would have been easier to fly to hunduras rather than run. but like you guys said, apparently he can run a lot faster now than before, because i know theres been times when its taken him like 10 seconds to get across smallville to save somebody. i think that took him like 5 seconds to get to honduras, and instantly to chloes dorm room?

I don't think he can fly. We've only ever seen Kal-el fly and isn't there the small matter of "no tights no flights."

I do recall that you made that pronouncement. Good call. His powers have been growing all series, but there is a marked increase in superjump and superspeed this year.

yea he is faster and stronger as time grows. The scene was sweet looking and the pan from space to close up part was very nice and all. But they are really screwy on his speed at times and then we dont know the realtime it really took and all that.

yeah thats true, i thought i remembered him flying in "Reckoning" in the fortress with lana, but when i watched that part again, i guess that was just a huge jump.

Clark don't sweat so he can wear a jacket and still won't have to worry about being too hot or too cold... Comic fact.

I thought this scene was the best in the episode, that and the Lionel scene, but I saw that on tv.com yesterday.

I believe it was in real time. Clark can move fast enought that no one can see him. The streak we see is for special effects.
Clark is getting faster. That scene was awesome!

I don't think it's that he can't fly. He just doesn't have the confidence to do it yet. He said he remembered everything from being Kal-El so he probably knows.
Didn't Pete say something about how fast it took Clark to go to Metropolis and back one time? To get a hotdog? I do remember the exact quote of time but I remember thinking that Clark should be faster than that. He has definitely seemed to get faster as he's gotten older.

Yeah, the sequence was amazing, since we have been shafted with visual effects this year.

One problem with the sequence though, it reminds us that Clark has had the ability to go where ever he wants to go, like to Florida with Bart. And if he can do that, why hasn't he been to Wichita to see Pete? Why haven't the writers had some fun with Clark getting out and exploring the world? Then there's the farm. Clark doesn't have to go to the local school to keep up the farm. He could get back and forth between Metropolis and Smallville in no time. There would just be that little problem of explaining his almost simultaneous presence in two different places, but hey, there's a lot of that going on already.
