They could've at least made it a little more original. I guess that's why its a "Fresh Episode" not a "Fresh Idea".

This is actually a ripoff of their own episode, Memoria too. :\ Ahh, recycled products never come out as good.

since they never explained what the red serum was, maybe it would have been more original to say

some wierd red serum makes them sleep.

and the green K liquid serum brings them back (since it gives powers).

in this way, had Chloe been the one to rescue Clark instead of him coming back on his own (technically he was forced back by his dad), Chloe would have had to figure out how she was going to save him by pumping him up with Kryptonite.

Lana would say, "What are you waiting for! hurry!"

And Chloe would be freaking out because she knows another effect it might have on Clark.
