My favorite "reality" show. Just love tearing apart those myths. Especially the one about the cellphones blowing up gas stations.

I LOVE MYTHBUSTERS! I got my dad hooked on it too. I had to watch it a lot in science class for physics and substitutes... but I love it! They're so funny and entertaining, also smart. I love what they do, it's semi-educational too. You learn what to believe and whats true and not true. I love it!
My favorites:
-seeing if lightning is attracted to tongue piercings
-whether or not goldfish have a 3 second memory (which they don't)
-if music and voices help plants grow
Yep, great show! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Wow, I had no clue this show didn't have a thread yet. It is by far one of the best Discovery channel shows out there!
The rocket car in the Pilot was my absolute favorite. I was flipping channels way back then and saw them with a car in the middle of a desert with rockets mounted on top of it. That's all I needed to see to be hooked.

I missed that ep. What was their conclusion.
I love ths show. I usually watch it when I find it's on. I'm not sure what my favorite, but the exploding pant ep looked like it would've been incredible painful.

I love Mythbusters. My dad watches it too, but then, he's a scientist employed with the state of Florida.
One thing... They're not doing experiments, they're doing trials.

i think it was that... well I can't exactly remember. Umm, I think it had somethin to do with underwear... like that women had a higher chance to blow up a gas station because they get back into their car when its filling up and their underwear cause a static discharge. I dunno, that might've been a diferent episode.

New season of Mythbusters starts tonight.
Tonight's episode is "Knock your socks off" and "features the 500lb explosion that allegedly rocked a small northern California town" (the last according to Grant Imahara's Twitter).

I watched tonight's show and it looks like Kari's pregnant. I thought tonight's gun myth was kinda boring but I liked the "knock your socks off" stuff..

Kari *was* pregnant, now she is on maternity leave (although last night's show was filmed before she left). She gave birth to Stella Ruby on June 28.
And I enjoyed both myths. Yes, the gun myth lacked some of the pizazz of some of their other myths, but I have heard that myth for years and figured nobody, not even the Mythbusters, could do justice to actually trying it. I was happy to see I was wrong. I guess I shouldn't underestimate them in the future.

beer liquor and hangovers should be fun.....dirty vs clean.....a clean car weighs less and has less drag.

Tonight's episode was all about duct tape. When I first saw the description, all I could think of was "MacGyver anyone?"
