Does anyone else find it frustrating that TPTB have left major holes in their storylines? Last night why didn't Clark catch onto the fact that Lex knew he was hypnotized? Or back in season 4 when Lana handed Clark and stone and said somehow I knew that it was meant for you? Why don't we ever get any answers? Its soooo frustrating!

Lex explains how he knew Clark was hypnotized. He told him about Simone and the fact that she has a hypnotizing necklace.

what about the kryptonite that chloe threw down the hall at the mansion after she was done using it on clark? did she ever pick it up on her way out?

Good question. I was wondering about that too.

Yeah he explained that part but what about Clark picking up on the fact that Lex knew about Simone in the first place.

And I never did see Chloe pick up the metor rock on her way out either.

Leaving plot holes is all they know how to do. Every season has been like this and it won't stop.

They never did explain why Simone keeps Clark's secret.

Well, Simone didn't tell Lex Clarks secret because she wanted to use Clark and his powers to kill Lex...As for the Kryptonite that Chloe threw in the hallway, that is a very good question. If she didn't pick it up, Lex would find it and put 2 and 2 together, getting even more suspicious of Clark.

Lex should already be suspicious of Clark. He threw him halfway across a room. Something no ordinary human can do.

Always lots of holes in the plot lines - but the worst season for those holes was season 4. By the end of it, the Teague family plot lines made absolutely no sense. Was Jason in on the plan from the beginning? Was he always in league with his mom? Or wasn't he? The whole season went back and forth on these issues - and every episode seemed to change the Teague plot line.

The holes are not the only things the bother me. I wish the writers/producers would take full advantage of the opportunities they create. So - for instance - eventually after starting to trust Lex she should find out things like...that Lex actually put Simone up to going after Clark. Not to mention other opportunities - such as Lana known that someone named Kal-El is connected to the aliens and then connecting that name to Clark.

Didn't notice that many holes in Hypnotic - just again missed opportunities for drama and impact. Where was Clark's struggle? After he broke up with Lana - there should have been a minute scene with him alone in the loft with emotion etched across his face. I never blame the actors for these missed opportunities - just the writers and the director.

The producers seem to be getting better with continuity. They even referenced the events of "Transference" in this episode.
