Somebody get out an egg timer, Lana was single for what 5 seconds and she's off to find another guy?

For a 'strong' female character they sure have her leaning on men an awful lot.

She's never been a strong felmale character in my eyes.

She's been leaning on a guy ever since this show started and not even being able to wait 5 seconds after the beack up with Clark just proves it even more. It's like Jason's death, he wasn't even cold before she was with Clark. Or after Adam and she left Clark behind, she' not in Paris alone for a week without getting a new boyfriend. She sure took a long time getting to know her self:rolleyes:

Yeah, I've never exactly considered Lana to be a strong female character. She's very needy.

It always amuses me when in articles and such they refer to her as strong and independent. She's truly anything but.

There going to have to give her a love interest because otherwise what is the point of her on the show?

Just shows those articles are for mere marketing, and really didn't research the show.

I was reading an article just the other day where they mentioned the upcoming 'Void' and they described Lana as, "plucky". When the hell has Lana ever been plucky? She's morose, moody, and mopey. :p

In case you haven't figured it out, al/miles know about as much about their characters as Clark knows about ice skating.

:rotfl: This one was so good!!! I mean yeah, they never really stay in character!!! I have never liked Lana, I mean really!!! Out of like... 4 or 5 boyfriends 3 of them end up dead and she never really cares!!!! Awful, I just dislike this character with all my heart, I soooooooo prefer Isobel ;), at least that one was.... I don't know... alive?? :D, Hugs, be well and take care, Monica

The Lana character is weak, and they need to force themselves to give her a good story(well, that's debateable how good her stories are). Lana needs some kind of love interest in order to stay on the show. The character is a one-trick pony who has overstayed her welcome.

I have a challenge for Al and Miles. Okay. You broke Clark and Lana up. That's good. A step in the right direction. Now, DON'T give Lana a boyfriend, DON'T turn her into a werewolf or a mummy, DON'T have her use Lana-Fu to defend herself, then write for her. Good luck.

Took the words right out of my mouth on that one Parker. It is not like Lana has enough going for her to be developed as anything other than a love interest. Since the Pilot she has been marketed as an object of someone else's affections. Anytime they try to branch out and develop her character outside of romance it turns into a disaster. Is it a coincedence that all the Lana themed episodes have been horrible? Just look at next week's episode..

" Can I get a HELL YEAH"!!

Great job on this one Matt. All you are doing is speaking the truth man. The crack about Lana not becoming a werewolf was especially great.

Yes please turn lana into some kind of monster and have clark kill her. PLEASE I can't stand her. And when she's dead don't have Clark go back in time and save her or some other lame crap, and don't have her come back as a ghost.
Hehe! Lana *haunting the luthor mansion*: Thecreth and lieth, Thecreth and liieeth

Lana has never been independant and KK has even said as much in interviews. After just rewatching S1 there are several times (ie. In Nicodemous as Alpha-Lana) Lana acknowledges and even pokes fun at her lack of independance.

I've said it before, they need to grow the character. We've seen Lois as confident and competant (mostly), and Chloe become the cracking reporter yet Lana still hasn't gone anywhere? Allow her to be obsessed with her astronomy and actively seek the alien path!

I watched a WB Rant where Kristin said something about how she thought Lana's journey on the series should be about her learning to comfortable by herself. I guess that's after she dates every male character (except Lionel). Or, if KK was correct, maybe she dates Lex and then swears off romance forever. Funny, I'd think she would have been done with dating after Clark crushed her heart with his big dumb hands!
