i also didn't get the part when he brought out his knife/finger thing, and then lex said something, and he put it away. i would rewatch it, but i forgot to record it.

I thought he said "We need more samples". I assumed he was refering to the vial of blood they showed at the beginning.

I think Lex had just said that he knew he wasn't really a professor. Is it possible that Brainiac thought for just a minute that Lex had somehow figured out who he really was and was about to kill him because of it? The knife/finger went away once Lex started talking about him being a government agent. But, it still didn't make much sense given the fact that is was Brainiac that led Lex to Honduras to being with.

Fine did say we need more samples, referring to the blood sample he got in the beginning of the episode in that house where he killed those two guys and burned the place down.

i know that this is alittle off subject, but didn't some spoilers say that Lex brought back (from honduros)some sort of viruses or something? something like that.

I fully believe that's EXACTLY what it was.
Cause Lex told Brainiac in a dramatic fashion something along the lines of, "I know what you are". That caught Brainiac off guard and he was about to introduce Lex to the Brainiac version of accupuncture ;)

But when Lex told him that he was a government agent, basically, something HUMAN, Brainiac put the knives away.

Might be the virus those people died from in the beginning...Fine could of infected Lex with it since he had that sample he took from those guys who he killed.

I'd like to know what he needs the samples for. And if its for making copies of himself, that seems pretty beneath him. BEing that he is allpowerful kryponian AI, he should be able to replicate himself without diseased blood. Plus, what is he planning to do with all his copies..hmmmm...?

Yeah, I don't get why he'd need that blood to duplicate himself. For one, he's AI so does he even have blood and two, if he did have blood, it certainly wouldn't be human blood.

I guess we could all be jumping to the conclusion that he used the blood to split himself. Maybe he just split himself in four to make the search for more samples go quicker.

Oh hey, I just remember something. Didn't he say something to Lex about developing a weapon to eradicate the alien race? Maybe he's collecting blood samples so he can unleash a bio-weapon on earth.

maybe is one of those things when you not suppose to quite understand it and then they explain it later and it all makes sense.

ok fine said samples as others have said. as i believe he is looking to make a bio weapon from that deasied blood and with help from lex to unleash a desctructive force to kill all on earth.

We need more samples. Hmmm. I believe he (Hes?) is trying to replicate some sort of Kryptonian virus, perhaps Krypton's equivalent to Ebola or the Clench.

It has to be something to hurt Clark or to free Zod.

Sure, the answer to this and many other plotholes can be found down in that storm basement that we never see anymore. :)

I have a feeling he's plotting to destroy the world with it, especially because of the little conversation he had with Lex, where he said something about aliens destroying the world.

I may be mistaken, but when it comes to Lex talking to him and telling him that he is a Govt. agent...can't Brainiac read minds?

Wouldn't he already know that Lex had no idea who he really is?

Apparently this Brainiac can't read minds. Nor has the comics version, ever since he went "Digital".

Brainiac needs Clark to put in that black crystal and release Zod. he knows that saving lives is what Clark is all about. He is going to threaten to kill the whole earth with the deadly virus and force Clark to release Zod

I think Brianiac is planning a plague.

I'm not a big comic book reader anymore (I think the last one was shortly after Superman came back to life)... but was Brainiac always so interested in Zod?

muffinpeddler
04-01-2006, 01:13 PM
No. this incarnation is the first to ever feature Brainiac as a "Submissive manipulator", meaning he's incredibly clever, but he'll still kneel before Zod without hesitation. In the comics (At least the B13 virus arc) he wants to integrate with all techonolgy, remake it in his image, and thereby control the world and eventually perhaps the universe.

he must be replicating the kryptonian virus its the only explanation for the diseased victims. think what if hes taking a mixture of diseases and creating one thats as deadly as the one that was released on krypton? the plague would leave people in grave peril.
