anybody notice that Clark didn't exactly deny it when Martha said deep down he knows lanas not the one?

Yeah, I noticed that quite clearly. Perhaps TPTB want some breathing room for Clark to grow up and get out from under the Lana shadow, or they want to move romantically in another direction (Clois or Chlark) or maybe both.
It was plain they wanted to leave the impression that Clark has had a change of heart.

I'm just so relieved that they have finally done this. I don't mind Lana, it's just that lately everthing that is about Clark is somehow always about Lana too. I want him to breathe. Breathe, Clark, breathe!

in a way though martha is wrong. she said that maybe he didn't tell her cause she wasn't the one, but he told Chloe, and he didn't think that she was the one.

Im glad Martha said this to Clark, because it is something he has needed to think about for a long time.
Yes--first loves seldom last. It's sad, and it hurts, but Martha's smart enough to know that, and I thought it needed to be said a long time ago.
Woo-hoo!!! I can see Clois on the horizon. :D

He was forced to tell Chloe, I mean the girl was going to die if he didn't do something. Anyway, to me the conversation was a giant Clois anvil pointing to Clark's future with Lois. I really don't think Martha was overjoyed with the Clana relationship to begin with and simply tolerated it because she made Clark happy. Martha has someone else in mind, I guess, and also realizes that the end of Clana represents the end of Clark's childhood and his growth toward maturity.

Yeh, Clarks never voluntered his secret to anyone, at least not on his own free will. The only person he does that with is Lois, I think

You really want TPTB to write Clois? I can see the trianlge a mile away. They'll probably throw poor Chloe in there again too as the pining one.

This is the problem right here, TPTB are too interested in the triangles and rectangles than they are with making Clark grow up along with everyone else. The show shouldn't be about that. Also, what has been said this episode that was different than at the end of Reckoning. Lana walked in and told Lex that it was over for good in Reckoning and then she walked in and told Lex it was over for good in Hypnotic. So how do we know that it is really over? That's the problem with the show, TPTB write these scenes and then the next episode it is as if the last show never happened. This worries me for future episodes because they can easily just throw Clark with Lois for any old reason later on without worrying about anything prior to that. TPTB choose to forget things rather than deal with them head on. It's a stupid way to avoid dealing with the consequences that they make for themselves as each episode goes by.

She doesn't count. She saw him punch a hole in the elevator.
The only person he willingly told is Lana (before he time-reversed the whole thing)...but even that is all for the wrong reasons.
What they did with Clana I would've done myself, only 4 years ago.
I love the Lois they've created so far, so I have faith for Clois.
Sadly my heart surrendered the Chlark dream sometime ago. They just need to give her a man of her own, that will show her some love. **come on Chlex** ;) :D

Basically. like i said he hasn't voluntered the secret to anyone. Chloe, from what he initially knew, saw the fortress, pete saw the ship, alicia the elevator punch, etc. etc

I love this Lois too! I'm not afraid, I mean this show has never been known for great writing so they can't really disappoint me... :rotfl: So I say the writers should go for it, I'd love to see some Clois. Maybe not this season, I don't want them to rush into it but I want lots and lots of teases and a great clois friendship and by the end of the series I want to see Clark falling for Lois big big time. :D I can't wait! *excited*

The entire ending of hypnotic is a rehash. Martha and Clark had the same exact talk. I forget which season but i remember it well!

He pretty much had to tell her because if he hadnt stoped the elevator she would of been killed. that is if she hadnt just showed her powers first and transported both of them out.
The only person he has told under his own free will was Lana in the first half of Reckoning.

He was forced to tell Alicia, too, because she saw him stop the elevator.

Well Chloe only thought he was a meteor freak, he told her more then he had to, and continues to confide in her as a trusted friend.

If there are only six seasons for the show, romantic Clois (even as great as it would be), then, at this point, would be extremely, EXTREMELY forced...
Everytime they "drop" a hint, I always feel like they're shoving it in our faces. Maybe it's just me, but it would just be weird to develop that in one season.
I'm just glad that Clark has FINALLY admitted to himself that Lana should not be his love interest anymore :)

True but since Chloe already knew so much Clark might aswell of told her the secret. After all she went through in Commencment to eep Lex from seeing what Clark was up to and then nearly dieing in the FoS for it I dont exactrly see how or why Clark should or could have kept on lieing to her.

This is kind of the tragedy of her character. He would never have told her, because of how curious she is: what she did with lionel to investigate him. But she's turned out to be ironclad at keeping his secret and being completely loyal to his interests despite her own feelings. Of his friends she's probably who he would have trusted the least with his secret. But as it turns out his gut feelings in Blank would have been dead on.

Yeh but she saw the fortress and the portal in the cave, meteor freak wouldn't have explained all that
