More like repetition than revelation. MK has told Clark before, several times I believe, that Lana may not be the one for Clark.

Me too...I must admit, I like the Clana, but just like Lana said secrets and lies have been lifted off of her shoulders, I think the troubled relationship has been lifted off of ours...

This is very true. MK has said it more than once...and the funny thing (not in the ha ha sense), is that this time Clark wasn't suddenly taken aback by this statement. Are we seeing growth, or are we seeing growth? I sure hope so.

I think you could be right.
I, too, hope that this is a sign of Clark growing up a little and seeing more in life than his obsession with Lana. Having to go through something so difficult might make him grow up a little and change his priorities in a more mature way.

I thought in Hidden and Reckoning, that Martha and not Jonathon was the one supporting Clana. Even back in Covenant, Martha had a loft scene where she knew how hard it was for Clark to lose Lana. He hasn't lost her wholly, just the part that doesn't know everything. He should explain every thing he has done for 5 years. Own up the red k, silver k, Chloe and Pete knowing, and especially his fear of losing her, not the danger involved but that he thought he was responsible for her parents death. Clear the air and everything else and then you can fall flat on your face. I think it is quite obvious until the end of Hypnotic, that Lana would accept Clark and stay with him.
