Pointless????

We are 21 min in and everthing in this episod seems pointless!!!! Is there a plot here?

poor lana she had to see that. In general, if you saw your EX get it on with someone else, wouldn't that be your reaction? Except if I was Lana, I would think "gee, that isn't Clark. He is under some sort of spell" lol.

The definition of Pointless is another break up scene with Clark and Lana. Pointless is another Freak of the week. Can't clark every use his brain and learn something. Can't clark just have a simple girlfriend? Clark controls his powers every moment of the day, I don't buy this, I can't have sex cause I am super wrap. TPTB are not writing for the O.C. they are writing for superboy.

Just about this entire episode was pointless...The only two things that I can see having some story line to build on was the whole puppet string action between Fine and Lex, and the long over due Lana and Clark break up. The whole Simone thing was just lame. Kinda reminds me of an episode from season 3, Delete.

This episode went on forever! My god! I was like, good grief, is this thing ever going to end? And then I looked over at the clock and it was only 8:30! I never thought it was going to end! It just drug and drug and drug and drug, god it was so slow.:p

The hatred of this episode I don't think comes from Clana lovers because they are mad about the breakup because everyone knows it's inevitable to reach the point of the mythos they hated it because it was lame and written haphazardly no one was more sick of the Clana rollercoaster than I but I definitely think it was handled poorly in the episode I felt absolutely nothing in this episode no suspense no emotion no feeling that the writers even tried on this one.

This episode wouldn't fill a small paper bag even if your stuffed the bag with cotton first. Some filler episode. What did it fill? Oh yeah, airtime. What a waste! Like a infomercial couldn't 've done it better. Brainiac was there, but did I doze off when they explained what he's up to aside frm playing Lex to get what he wants. I don't think I've ever dozed off during SV before, ever.

Lana never thinks that way, no matter now many times things like this happen. No matter how many times she herself has been possesed or on something. I don't know how anyone who lives in SV and who has been through half the stuff she has wouldn't at least think about it being a possibely when things like this happen.

It's a good thing Lana isn't left to save people from things like that or else they'd have had it long before now.

Tptb just look making the characters look like idoits (say hallo Lex):rolleyes: :mad: :rolleyes:

I wouldn't say that. I think from Lexmas on it has been filler. Even though this stuff tonight has been filler, the stuff with Brainiac breaks it up a bit. The real filler stuff is the stuff with Clark, Lana and Lex which is sad since they are the main characters in this show.

I haven't seen the episode yet. But since several compare it to Reckoning -- which I think is Smallville's best ever ep -- I'm looking forward to watching Hypnotic!

I thought having Spike and Lex working together would help this episode but I found myself making my mother worry more about me (she first started to worry when I rejoyced over the news that Aunt Nell was alive and well still and that her and Lana really do still have a relationship.) When I started saying 'blah blah blah aliens blah blah blah world domination blah blah blah'
