In news that surprises absolutley NO ONE.
The PS3 looks like it's going to be Sony's downfall.
When you consider the cost, and the fact that the systems just aren't built to last... it's a disaster waiting to happen.

MS/Nintendo Fanboy talk.
But like the guy said this is a surprise to almost no one.
What are you talking about the cost? You know the cost? You have contacts deep with in Sony who have the prices laid out? Please...
What fact? Thats your opinion. Look at all the 360's that have broken down(good thing mine hasnt). Thats EVERY system at launch.
Heres some real food for thought. The Sega Saturn came out a year before the PS1. PS1 more powerful and better supported won. The Dreamcast a great system with out question came out over a year before the PS2. However, it had inferior power in all aspects. Not to mention it had an inferior media drive. It failed.
The Xbox 360 a great system(I have one), will probably not fail like the saturn or dreamcast but it will most definately be beat by Sony. Why? The PS3 has a standard blu-ray drive which will blow away a normal DVD any day. All the announced specs are superior, some more than others. The PS3 has a lot more devoloper support for the system. The 360 has little to no support from consumers and developers in Japan, and with out Japan ladies and gentleman, you just cant succeed in the video games market.

I mean the fact I went through a launch PlayStation and *3* PS2's. I've never had a Sony system last more than a year.
Sony's Hardware usually is horrible.
And to use Blu-Ray you will NEED a DVI or HDMI port on your TV... so there goes about 80% of your customers.

Ps3 is gonna be the best of the next gen consoles by far and It is gonna outsell the other 2 easily.
The delay is no surprise.

This is for straight forward Blu-Ray players. You need to get your information straight my friend. Its like saying that because all 360 games are in HD you have to use an HD TV.
Again, because you allegedly have had all you sony systems break down does not necessarily mean every one or most have had this problem. I would think that if that were in fact the case Sony as a company wouldve fallen through long before the PS2.
That being said, the PS3 will be compatible with all standard definition television sets. The DVI and HDMI is needed to take advantage of all of Blu-Rays superior offererings. All video games will be widescreen standard but will, again, be compatible with standard definition television sets.
And to think that every video game will be using Blu-Ray discs is completely foolish. Most launch games and launch window games for the PS2 came out on CD-Rom because it was unnecessary to use a DVD disc. Many PS3 games will continue to be made on DVD's because many will not need 25+gigs of memory(added that if you wanted to add the games will be more expensive).
P.S. PS3 has been officially confirmed for a November 2006 release.

*sigh* Fanboys ftw.....
Anyway, I am not surprised at all and honestly I don't really care. I got my 360to last me, I am buying them all anyway.
I hold no Fanboy base for any company, (unlike many people here) And honestly if that will stop you from buying any of the other systems....meh

The idea that it would work on RCA or S-Video cables just doesn't make sense when a standard Blu-Ray movie won't work even using component cables.
Short of pulling a miracle rabbit out of their ass... the Blu-Ray players are coming at a price of $1500. If the PS3 comes at even 1/3 of that, $500, that would kill the stand-alone players. On the freaking spot.
The insistant use of Blu-Ray just seems incomprehensable from all standpoints.

Again, where are you pulling this information from? What executives do you know that are risking their jobs and careers by telling you these things?
There has yet to be a Sony Blu-Ray player that has an anounced a price.
The 1500 your quoting is prob from Panasonic player that is much much much more than a simple Blu-Ray player. Its basically a media center that does everything but make coffee.
Back to the point, whoever these top level executives are, Id sure like to have a conversation with them as well.
Ken Kutaragi(the main guy at sony), has stated on numerous occassions that it would be pricey but comparable with the Premium 360. With that information it's safe to assume that the PS3 will be no more than 500 and more than likely 400 - 450 american dollars.

I think if u work for something and get it all by yourself you would be able to appreciate it better.
Thats why all the video game consoles, games etc I have bought ...were bought by me or my bros.

I disagree with that. I am not spoiled by any means and I have to work for what I do have and it stinks to realize you cant waste your money on some game system when you have 4 others. You buy what you need and it's a relief when your parents get you something on a special occasion or just to be nice in general knowing your situation.
