Its a new show on NBC about a bunch of ordinary people who discover that they haev Super powers. There's an article about over at Superherohype.com.

I liked this show when it was called the 4400. Talk about a rip off, and I bet it will do awesome in the ratings and people wont even think of the 4400.

I read an article about it at TV Guide.com, and it doesn't sound anything like 'Lost' or 'The 4400', both of which I've watched. In fact, it sounds quite a bit better than either of them to me.

Mike Ausiello went into deatail (without spoilers) about the pilot script (the series hasn't moved past filming the pilot yet, I don't think) and it sounds quite good. It's more about the lives of people who discover they have special powers than the powers themselves, and it all ultimately rushes toward these people, who are scattered all over the world, having to come together to protect the planet.

There is also a villain in the series, a villain that we're meant to know is the bad guy from early on, and that's something that's been missing in TV of later (especially in shows like Lost.)

I'm going to give it a chance, and with luck it'll wind up being pretty good.

That sounds an awful lot like the 4400 to me.

But the show has been touted at the next Lost, I'm not sure if it will live up to the hype or not.

Well, honestly 4400 sounds like a borrowed concept of the X-Men :\. Which is a concept used by SV(FoTWs), Mutant X, and 4400.

I read the article at tvguide too. I think it sounds good, though I'm always tentative when show's get too hyped. I don't like it being compared to Lost, because if it doesn't deliver people are going to be disappointed.
But I'll check it out, premise sounds interesting, and it looks like some good casting.

If anything... Comparing it to Lost only puts me off the idea... I watch Lost, hoping they'll answer the questions. If I hadn't invested so much time in the show already, I would have stopped watching.

It sounds good though, i'll check out the first episode.

I never really watched The 4400, so if it is like that, it'll be new to me.

NAJ!!!! Infidel!!! ;)

I love the concept. I mean, I'm assuming it's more like The X-men than The 4400 - the folks on the latter show already know they've been kidnapped by mysterious forces and put back into the future with total memory loss, etc. So their powers aren't complete shocks to them or us.

I'm curious about this show, anyway. It might be a big truckfull of Velveeta, but if it's not, I'd probably watch it.

And what is the day it starts?

The show looks cool, but the some of the powers seem lame. Paint the future? What's the glass power? Like in SV S5 that guy who could bend glass? Stopping time is cool. Teleportation and indestructible. Flight. Telepath. What's the 8th power? I was hoping one or two would have more than 1 power. Maybe these aren't the only people with powers. My guess is not. I was hoping for a Pyro or Iceman type guy, or a Superman esque strength or speed. Maybe even a Magneto or a Colossus. Maybe they should just make an X-men show as well.

He doesnt stop time, or have any powers that deal with time. If you watch carefully, the exact time it seems the clock stops in one place, is the same time he ends up in another.

He's a teleporter. Think Alicia. :)

No, the teleporter is the guy thats in jail. The Chinese or Japanese guy stops time, the clock stopped. It also says on the official description that a guy in jail finds himself out of his cell. It also says either a Japanese or a Chinese guy stops time by willpower.

(Milo is from Smallville? I thought he was on Gilmore Girls...)

I don't think that is true though. I saw another preview of the Japenese guy teleporting from Japan to NYC Times Square.

Here is proof also:

Look here on NBC's site: http://www.nbc.com/NBC_First_Look/Heroes/

It states: In Japan, a lowly office worker can teleport at will

MidgardDragon
07-13-2006, 09:06 PM
I'm confused. Has this had it's series premiere yet? All NBC.com says is Mondays 9/8 central, but I thought it hadn't premiered yet. If I tune in this Monday will I be watching episode 1, or will it be episode 2, 3, what?

Superboy2
07-14-2006, 03:19 PM
It hasn't come yet, its this fall. Why would the Japanese guy stare at the clock as if he can stop time, yet hes a teleporter. It says on SHH that there is a comic book Japanese geek who can stop time at will.

MidgardDragon
07-14-2006, 03:21 PM
Yeah, clearly the guy who was staring at the clock can stop time. The clock jumped back a second. Even if he can't stop time, he can clearly teleport back in time if his power's teleportation, because otherwise the clock hand wouldn't have skipped back a second. I think people are confusing two different people though. There must be a teleporter and a guy who can stop time.

Superboy2
07-14-2006, 03:24 PM
Was that guy Korean maybe? I think theres only 1 Japanese guy, who stops time at sheer will. The guy in prison is the teleporter, and the comic book Japanese guy is the guy who stops time. It says on Superherohype.

I've seen the pilot, and it seems that the Japanese guy can "bend time and space."

I really recommend anyone who is here and going to Comic Con, to go to the Heroes panel...

CallMeClark
07-15-2006, 05:54 AM
So maybe what you are saying is that his powers are far more than just teleporting? I agree.

KSiteTV
07-15-2006, 12:56 PM
Yeah, it it's a lot more than teleporting. It's like he bends time and space to reach his goals.

Also, I saw someone posted this earlier in the thread but I want to reiterate the good news - both Jeph Loeb and Greg Beeman, who used to work on Smallville, will be working on this show. Jeph wrote some of the show's best episodes (like Red and Insurgence) and Beeman, of course, did some of the show's best season finales and premieres.

CallMeClark
07-15-2006, 01:47 PM

Superboy2
07-15-2006, 05:56 PM
I think there is a guy that can teleport, and a guy that can stop time at will. Why would one character have 2 separate powers? I'm confused.

CallMeClark
07-16-2006, 06:59 AM
Yes but teleporting and bending time can relate to how he controls time and space.

Another-One
07-16-2006, 12:09 PM
Yes, teleporting would be the same as bending space and time.

Think of it this way; the shortest distance between two points is a strait line, right? Everyone pretty much knows that. Well, its not. :) A ------ B

If you were able to bend space and time so that A and B would occupy the same space and time, you would essentially be able to "teleport" from A to B in an instant. A B

MidgardDragon
07-17-2006, 09:57 PM
I think the confusion comes from the power. Normally when you think teleportation, you simply think of someone poving from point A to point B but not having any control over time. When you think of someone controlling time you think of someone who can travel back and forth through time.

The ability to "bend space in time" would include both, and in my opinion, is a much better explanation for teleportation than your standard "I can appear then reappear!" non-explanation.

CallMeClark
07-18-2006, 04:57 AM
Yes but then does this character actually "teleport?" Now this is getting more confusing. They should have stuck him with one power. :p

MidgardDragon
07-18-2006, 05:00 AM
His power isn't teleportation, it's "bending space and time." Using the logic of Another-One, which is sound IMO, then yes, he can teleport. He just bends space and time to make point A and point B overlap.

I just saw the Pilot on YouTube.

I have to say that it did not really blow me away. The show has a great premise, and a lot of potential. But overall I was kind of dissapointed.

Some of the abilities in this show are kind of lame. A guy who can paint the future, but only when he is high? A woman whose ability involves mirrors and her reflection? Where did they come up with crappy abilities like that? Also, I really like the Hiro character, but his ability of teleportation/bending time/space seems pretty useless to me. Unless they go the route of having him teleporting people out of dangerous situations.

The few characters I did really like were the cheerleader who is invulnerable, and the story with the two brothers Peter/Nathan that involved flying.

The rest of the Pilot was pretty slow moving, and as I said some of the abilities on this show are pretty lame. I will keep watching because as I said the show has a great premise and a lot of potential.

I am just hoping that it gets better than the Pilot was. Overall I would probably give it like a 6 or 7/10. I guess I was mainly letdown because of how hyped up it was, and how so many people said it was amazing. It just wasn't in my opinion.

CallMeClark
08-01-2006, 01:57 PM
I also saw the Pilot but have to say as a Pilot it was good. It is hard to rush right into all this action. We need time. They say eventually the characters will meet and become a team/friends. I am excited.

This is part of what made the pilot so interesting to me. The powers were not fully explained and did not entirely made sense... not even to the characters themselves. I think a big part of this show's story will be how their powers develop and how they learn more about their power & how to use their power. From the pilot episode, this show seems to be character driven... and what better way to explore these characters then to force them to come to terms with these rather odd powers???

I really loved the pilot!!!

Still though. I can't imagine powers involving mirrors/reflection and painting the future being anymore interesting even with more depth and explanation. They are just lame, boring, powers. The thing that bugged me the most was that the guy could only paint the future when he was high. They should have just had the power be accessible at anytime. Having to watch the guy shoot up everytime he wants to see the future is kind of annoying, and even if they don't show it each time, he has a good chance of winding up dead from an overdose.

There are still some characters that have not yet been introduced like a guy in prison who can teleport through walls, and Greg Gunberg's character who can hear people's thoughts. I have heard they will introduce these in the second episode and both of those powers are far more interesting.

Like I said, the show does have a lot of potential and a great premise. I just didn't find the Pilot to be all that great. Hopefully things pick up when all the characters gravitate towards one another.

kcox6751

I agree with you Ryan, those are totally lame powers. The mirror power kind of got me thinking...

maybe the producers WANT us to think these are weird. Maybe they're actually planning something bigger. I bet there powers will evolve to something greater. I'm thinking Niki's power will become something really cool.

Just a thought. :)

I hope so Kyle.

But, they do have a few more characters they can introduce. I am a huge Alias fan so it will be cool to see Greg Grunberg as a character in the show, and I am also looking forward to learning about the guy in prison who can teleport through walls.

What I am hoping is that the central villain plays a Magneto type of character trying to gather various people with powers that won't use them for good. The show would definately get better if it had a modern day X-Men type of feel.

My point was more that we really don't know the extent of his powers because he doesn't know the extent. He may only be able to access his powers now when he is high because he is just discovering them.

But this is more of a difference of opinions. I'd rather have character development and interesting treatment of super powers, then really fancy super powers.

Character development and interesting treatment is good. For me, it just goes hand in hand with the powers themselves being somewhat interesting. :D

The powers don't have to be fancy, but they should at least be interesting enough to catch the interest of the fans. A power involving mirrors and painting the future while getting high does not strike high on the interesting list for me.

The best scenario is when they can take a good power, and still give it serious development and thought so you get the best of both worlds.

Am I confused? I was under the assumption the "pilot" that you can download is Episode 1.0, and the "pilot" that will come on TV is going to be episode 1.1, a brand new episode. So I think you'll be safe watching them both, Summers.

The Pilot that will be airing on NBC September 25th is the one you can see on youtube now. It was simply leaked early.

MidgardDragon
08-03-2006, 04:14 PM
Just to offer an exact opposite opinion: YouTube is awful, there are much better sources for video, including Google Video, MetaCafe, and MySpace. YouTube is notorious (Google Video is almost as bad, though) for taking down "copyright violations" even when no one has complained. Their version of "copyright violations" includes fan music videos, some trailers, and some "montages" that fans have put together of their favorite scenes from some shows. I've never had anything taken down from Myspace or MetaCafe, so I highly recommend them over YouTube any day.

Summers
08-03-2006, 05:55 PM
I kinda like that they have a stricter rule on copyright violations. MySpace is notorious for having credibility issues :\. The fanmade things I watch for my shows I haven't seen any trouble except when comes to SV. Which doesn't bug me since I don't look for SV on You Tube . But whatever floats your boat ;).

I just rather watch an episode for the first time on a tv set then a PC.

CallMeClark

I have to agree with Summers. I think it is a good thing.

MidgardDragon
08-03-2006, 07:32 PM
I have to disagree once again, it is hardly a good thing unless they learn to stick to actual copyright violations and not just go willy-nilly on any little thing they see. Their main problem is that they aren't consistant. You can find whole episodes that remain on the site for a year or more, then you see fan vids removed? It's been enough to drive me to never use YouTube unless I can't find what I'm looking for elsewhere (which is almost never.)

Summers
08-03-2006, 07:54 PM
I rather have something be inconsistent than something that has credibility issues :\. The only fanvids I see removed are SV ones. All the others shows I watch that have fanvids aren't removed. Like I said whatever floats your both besides this is going off-topic :\.

MidgardDragon
08-03-2006, 07:56 PM
Err, MetaCafe and Google Video have no credibility issues. As for MySpace, the thing that it is best used for is uploading your videos then distributing them elsewhere, there's really no way to not be credible in those circumstances.

I'd rather something be consisten, honestly. One can work around credibility issues (but I'd really love to hear what issues you're talking about, because I dunno what you mean) but inconsistency is ominpresent.

Summers
08-03-2006, 07:57 PM

Peter's definitley my favorite character. They handled the flying effects pretty well on a TV budget. And I liked how they showed all the characters are connected like Lost. The Japanese guy was pretty funny too.

Most hillarious moment was the two Japanese kids singing karaoke to that Backstreet Boys song. Not sure if its the same guys but if it is I cant belive they got famous off of this, LoL:

ya i think something will come around to him trying to help the super powered people and help them figure out the reasons and stuff. maybe he will do something like make a new version of comics like dc has the justice league and marvel has the avengers maybe this will be a new brand of comics and will be a new group. im kind of wondering about the comic books tho. in the trailer for the season it showed the japanese guy looking at a book with him on it. is the indian guy the writer of these comics or is there someone out there writing comics and he has the power to make what he writes comes tru.

They were actually from the mob, she owed the mob 25 grand that she borrowed to get her kid into that private school, and I don't think stripper's have pimps. :P

As for the kids, yeah, I remember him playing a brainy kind on My Wife and Kids too, but I'm sure if he's still acting when he grows up he'll find some different roles.

LOL... apparently his dreams were very vivid. Seriously though... something got the cheerleader to start testing herself.... just because you think you are invincible would you really stab yourself, jump off buildings, run through fire, etc. And if you think you can fly, would you jump off a building. If you think you can change space and time, would you really stare at a clock all day trying. Obviously there is something calling all these people to believe they are extra-ordinary... call it fate or destiny... something seems to be at work.

superhippie2000
09-27-2006, 04:14 PM
well i think the cheerleader was suicidal so when she tried to kill herself it didnt work so she tried another way and realised that nothing can kill her so i guess she just started to do it for the same reason people cut themselves or something.

the guy jumping off the building i dont think i would do that. maybe his dreams were so claer and had a feel that made him want to try but for me even if i knew it would be ok i would still be worried and not do it. id probably start low.

maybe the japanese guy was bored and thats why he was staring at the clock. plus he enjoys comics and when most people want strength or speed or to fly he wanted to control time.

but ya i think there is something that is making them feel the need to keep doing it over and over to see what they can do.

I enjoyed the first episode. Although I'm pretty sure it won't completely fill the Live Action-Sci Fi/Superhero show void I'll have once Smallville ends.

Why cant superpowered people make non-cheesy uniforms and fight crime on Live-Action prime time TV?? There must be some unspoken law against it in this century. (Well maybe Fox's "The Tick" is reason enough for me to not ask questions like that but then again, that was more of a comedy sitcom.)

Writers and TV station executives are pansies, they need to learn that superheroes need some sort of cool uniforms. I'm done ranting...err umm...for now :D

Heroes definitely has potential either way. I'm already thinking that the one brother that thought he could fly actually can fly but is going to be convinced that his dreams were only regarding to his brother's new found ability.

I am still not sure about this show.

I was hoping that the second episode would be better. But it still wasn't that great. They spent so much time recapping the Pilot, that the episode didn't really provide that much development. So far the show moves at such a snail's pace in terms of development and telling the story. I get that they want to stretch it out for the whole season, but this is ridiculous. I am hoping that this show gets better because I really do want to like it.

I really dislike the storyline with Nikki. Her character doesn't really add anything to the show and her ability consists of having a killer reflection. Just really lame.

The only two storylines of interest they have are Claire being the foster daughter of the show's main villain and the storyline with Peter/Nathan and the flying. Hiro seems like a cool character but they still really haven't had time to truly develop his character.

What a letdown in terms of Greg Grunberg's character. I was hoping to see some development with the character but all they offered was him locating the girl and being arrested. So far I am really not liking the set up of the show (trying to cover so many characters at once) because it makes the show feel jumbled. What would be great is if it followed the format of Lost by focusing on one character primarily while covering the story as a whole. It is frustrating as a viewer because it feels like just as they are about to tap the surface with one character they have to move onto another one.

Please let this show get better! I am hoping that once they finally gravitate towards each other that the show will get better.

I understand the complaints, but I don't think it is a flaw of the show, rather I think it is a deliberate choice, which some will like and some will hate. I personally love the slow serialized form they are taking. Rather than throwing us into the middle of a huge battle or into waves of character development, they are slowly introducing us to each character.

The only problem with this format is that some characters, at least at this point, are more interesting than others. Certainly Nikki is by far one of the more frustrating characters, perhaps because she seems to have no control over anything, but from all the interviews this seems to be intentional. We are supposed to be confused and frustrated by her and her powers.

As for the other characters, I find them all fascinating and for the most part likeable. For me, I love TV & movies primarily for character development, everything else comes secondary. And this show is taking its time to develop incredibly rich and three dimensional characters. So far I'm still loving this show!!!

ya i like the show to but i do agree they took like 15 minutes shwoing us stuff we already saw. the ending was a shock cause the whole time you think that guy is just a teleporter but he is not he is like a time traveler. i wonder if eventually they will have you go back to that indian guys dad before he dies and save him or something. i think those parts with the dead people with there brains removed was pretty cool. kind of graphic for a tv show tho. and the stripper lady is confusing cause she blacks out and her mirror image sets things up for her to finish or something but it seems like she does nothing cause the mirror image does it for her when she thinks she has to do it. i like learning abouyt the characters like they do on LOST but on LOST you get one story at a time with interactions from the other people when in this you get everyones stories at once and have them interact. right now we are just learning about the characters finding out about there powers im sure when we get them all meeting each other and them controlling there powers we will see more action and more combat rather then dead people and not seeing them attacked.

This show is awesome. The second episode was better than the pilot, IMO. My favorite characters so far are Mohinder, those flying brothers (Pete and his brother), and Claire. Hiro is pretty funny and his power is awesome (whether it be teleportation or time traveling). That Nikki character has me intrigued because I don't know what is going on when she's on screen. They didn't show much of Greg Grunberg's Matt but from what I saw, I like. The slow progress of the show doesn't have me worried. It has me wanting more.

I'm beginning to wonder and this can be just me thinking too much. Anyway, i'm wondering if the one brother can steal other people's powers.. maybe he's like Rogue except he doesnt hurt the other person. He did mention that he had some sort of connection with his brother. Perhaps he can do that with other people..

ya but i guess the explosion was just show what the hereos need to stop in the future but it never showed how or why and all of that plus it was kind of like damn thats early in the show to have all this happen then its like damn that dude can time travel so that threw a lot of people off. i wonder if that druggy made the comic book of that guy for more drugs.

i think they just have the same power. i mean the scientist guy said the powers are like in the dna and stuff and evolve and the brothers have the same dna so they probably can both get the same power. would be intresting if he can mimic other peoples powers guess we need to wait and see how he is around the other heroes when they meet.

Seriously? I'm shocked and a little disappointed. I was hoping that he could fly for real, but I guess absorbing other people's powers isn't that bad of a power. He's like Rogue from X-Men. Basically, he can get any power he wants with a single touch. Pretty cool.

When that guy teleported to New York in the future and read that comic, was it really a prediction? It had already happened, sort of. It was the future after all.

You know the villian? When he comes on the screen does anybody else sort of expect to hear "Hi. My name is Troy MaClure, you might remember me from such films as..."???

Woo-hoo! I just watched episodes 1 & 2, and I'm hooked. :)
I must say, 2 hours went by much too quickly for me. I was thoroughly entertained. :p

I'm not sure if it's a blessing or curse, but when I'm seeing a tv show or a movie for the first time,
I tend to watch it from a fresh perspective, and not over-analyze it.
I think you have to disconnect, and just watch something for what it is. Fantasy entertainment.
I don't try to compare it to other things I've seen, I don't try to pick out the flaws, I don't do "mental rewrites", as if I could do it better.
I just take a break from reality, and immerse myself in the storyline. That's just how I do it though.
Of course everyone is entitled to their own way of looking at things.

I'm just thankful that this really works for me. I'm rarely disappointed, & always entertained. Lol! ;)

I found the shows' characters to be very interesting, and their connections with each other, to be intriguing.

I'm anxiously counting the days to episode 3.

Is it Monday yet?

In what can only be called one of the more idiotic bit of news regarding “Heroes”, appliance maker Emerson has sued the producers of “Heroes” and NBC for a scene in the show’s pilot where Claire sticks her hand in Emerson’s In-Sink-Erator garbage disposal in yet another attempt to test her near-invulnerability. What does Emerson want? Apparently to keep NBC from rebroadcasting the pilot, along with that scene.

From Zap2It:

Emerson’s suit claims the scene “casts the disposer in an unsavory light, irreparably tarnishing the product” by suggesting that serious injuries will result “in the event consumers were to accidentally insert their hand into one.”

The suit, however, is more about NBC’s use of the In-Sink-Erator name than the content of the scene, the company says. “It’s a trademark thing,” spokesman Dan Callahan tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

NBC hasn’t commented on the suit.

Can You believe this? This is the most idiotic thing ive ever heard!!

ya i know sheesh i hate when people sue for no reason. i mean come on its a show and they arent implying that it was only that garbage disposal that will chop off you hand or anything. i mean lots of people in real life probably had that happen and i know on supernatural and iother movies peoples hands got chopped up in them so i dont get it. its like sueing cause your coffee is too hot.

plus shouldnt this topic just be in the main hereos thread cause they said one per show. guess it dont matter tho if they need to they will just stick this in the other one

I personally think that Sylar hasn't been introduced yet. The message on the machine that Mohinder was listening to was from a person who is supposed to be patient zero who was the first person that was discovered with super abilities. FINALLY a good episode of Heroes.

Tonight's episode was excellent. It wasn't bogged down by too much review of the previous episode like last week's and the development of each character this week was very well done. However, I HATE Nikki. I find her story to be boring, and she is the main thing hurting the show right now. The story always feels like it takes a step back when it goes to her, because it interrupts the development of the other characters. The ending to this week's episode with Claire on the autopsy table was awesome. Hiro is becoming more and more likeable with each episode. I also really like the fact that Hiro's friend is becoming involved in the story too. The friendship those two have cracks me up. I do wish they would give more development with Nathan and Peter though. There hasn't been nearly enough on the flying aspect of the show.

But this was the first episode that was actually good, and I hope the show continues on this path.

Awesome episode!

This show is getting better and better! Last night's episode was great. A lot of action too!

Claire and Hiro's storylines interest me the most. When Hiro stopped timed to save the little girl it looked so awesome. I love that he isthe only one really loving and embracing his powers. I loved the ending with Claire on the autopsy table as well. "Holy Sh..." TO BE CONTINUED.

But the best thing about this episode had to be Syler. He scared the crap out of me. So he's basically a mutant hunter of sorts. And it seems he can both fly and control the movement of objects with his mind. Also, he and Claire's father have some connection?

I really don't think Nikki is hurting the show. I think they are building up to find her son's father, who IMO, will probable also have a special power.

The Nathan/Peter storylines is good too.

In the pilot we saw her son reading a comic with a green monster on it. It was the same comic that Hiro read that involved him. Maybe Nikki'a alterego is the green monster.

I am just curious what makes you think Syler can fly? There was the guy who made the FBI agent put the gun to her head, and then he dissapeared, but it wasn't flight. Also, the guy that took the bullets and got up wasn't Syler in my opinion, if that is what you were basing the flight theory on.

According to TV.com, there is a FOTW in the show named D.L. Hawkins, who is an inmate that can transport himself through walls. He used these abilities to escaped from prison. Since the person dissapeared after being shot, my guess is that we were introduced to the DL character.

Coincedentally, DL is the name of Nikki's ex-husband. Now if Nikki has a so called ability, and her ex husband has powers, it makes you wonder if Mikah will have abilities too. They have already pointed out that he is extremely smart for his age.

I had been saying that Syler and Claire's father were two different people before this episode aired so it is cool to be right. :D A lot of people on the net were saying that Syler and Claire's father were one and the same.

Now I may be wrong in regards to DL being the guy who was shot. But that is the way that I took it. They also showed that black guy sitting in the bar staring at Matt when he passed out. Since DL is black, that could have been DL as well.

ep 3 was far better than the first two. I'm glad that they've introduced the sylar character. That was pretty badass when he almost made the FBI shoot herself in the head. I got the impression that he has prof X type abilities but perhaps even more advanced since it looked like he was able to fly. As Ryan pointed out Nikki is by far the worst character on this show. Her storyline his just boring imo.

One thing I didn't quite get was the comic book that hiro is using as a guide. I thought last week the last panel of it was hiro sreaming I did it in Times Square? But in this week's ep it went up to them driving in the car, so when did those panels appear?

Another-One
10-11-2006, 09:19 AM
I have a theory.

Sylar is Peter. How is that possible you ask?

Well, first off I believe Peter does NOT have the ability to fly, rather, he has the ability to mimic the powers of the Heroes around him.

That still doesn't explain how he's Sylar. Well, since he has the ability to mimic a person's powers, then it's possible that at some point he will run into Niki. Here's where it gets interesting. When he comes into contact with Niki, Peter too developes a dark side, Sylar. Once this dark side is established at some point he comes into contact with Hiro, and through his dark side, Sylar, eats his brains or what have you, Peter/Sylar now has the ability to manipulate time and has the Dark Side Niki has.

Since Peter/Sylar has the ability to bend time and space, he is able to get to all the people with abilities and essentially eats their brains or what have you to permanently absorb their powers. That is why when he encounters the FBI agent, he can take a bullet(Cheerleader), he can fly(Big Brother), and seemingly control a persons mind(The Cop who isn't completely developed yet).

This is all theory based on what we have seen so far. Tell me what you think. :)

Randy G.
10-11-2006, 01:27 PM
Oh man, that's an interesting theory Aaron.
At this point, I'm not sure WHAT I think is going on yet. I think the next episode will start to clear a few things up (hopefully).
What I DO know, is that this may turn out to be one of this years best shows. :D

yeah...interesting theory, in fact Sylar is Patient Zero. I don't know about Peter being Sylar but one thing we know like a fact, Sylar have telekinesis ability. ;)

BTW I LOVE this show, it's getting more interesting every episode. Hopes that they make more than the 7 episodes that are confirmed already.

No, last week's page was the same as this week, with the car pic and the Las Vegas board.

But someone that I'm starting to realize, the powers come from the brains. Mohinder talked about the 10% of brain that human use in the first episode. Last week, we saw that Syler steals brains and this week Claire "died" because of the piece of wood she had craved on her brain.

Like I said, it's probably from the Cop who has yet to fully develop and control his powers.

I'm loving this show so far. I missed what happened at the very end because my DVR stopped working though. :\

My theory on Sylar is that it is DL, the black guy who is Nikki's ex husband. He was in that bar when the cop got poisoned. But the theory that Peter is Sylar is awesome, I'm not sure if TV writers are smart enough to writh such a thing though.

I'm also wondering how they'll be able to continue this show past one season...
