I was watching The Office (US) and this guy Dwight quoted Lex by saying "Dad, you have no idea what I'm capable of" to his boss Michael and Dwight said it's from Smallville, I was like whoa, how cool is that.
Are there any other references to SV in other movies/series you've watched?

In an episode of Veronica Mars, Duncan joked about having Tom Welling play him in a movie while he did a flying gesture with his arms.

Great thread!
They mentioned it in Will and Grace once. Never saw it, but it was mentioned on here back in 2003.
WILL: What is it about "Smallville" that brings out both the teenage girl and the lecherous old man in me?
GRACE: It's the writing.
I like it!!!

I was watching C.S.I. (Vegas) the other day, and Lindsay from the season 4 finalle was in it. While being questioned about a murder by Grissom (I think it was Gil), she said something to the effect of "so and so is like Kryptonite to me!"
It was cool/funny
Take care, God bless, peace out

There have been Smallville related questions on the Jeopardy Teen Tournament.

Isn't this thread supposed to be about references to Smallville the show, not Superman in general?

Well, there's always the episode of Gilmore Girls where Luke is afraid to see Rory cause Jess just left town... So he takes Lorelei outside and asks if Rory can hear them...
Luke: "You sure she can't hear us out here?"
Lorelei: "Through the wall, no i put the Kryptonite in already"
Or something of the sort...

Veronica Mars is just one big reference to Chloe Sullivan.

Oh... (a superman ref. not SV, but whatever) On the Beauty and The Geek finale, Josh says that he felt like Clark Kent without his superpowers when he first entered the compotition.

There was a superman reference on Americas next top model. One of the girls superhero picture looked like she was fainting and Tyra Banks said she looked like she had been hit with a dose of kryptonite. I was like YEH!! GO SUPERMAN!!!

I don't know if this is a reference or just a rip-off, but an episode of The Simpsons had a character named Chloe Talbot who was an investigate reporter like Chloe on Smallville.
I don't know if this really is a reference but I was out eating dinner and one of the channels was cnn (the show was showbiz tonight) and it was talking about popular characters dieing on and the were talking about smallville's Jonathan Kent dieing.

My kids were watching the cartoon The Fairly Oddparents and they called me in to see the character named Luthor Lex. They wanted to know if the writers watched Smallville!

This isn't directly related to Smallville, but when Bobby Hill in King of the Hill couldn't break open the pinata, he says, "I think it's made of Kryptonite or something..."
I know it can be referenced to Supes in general, but I thought the line was funny.

On 24, there's a character named Chloe O'Brien that has blonde hair and a lot of the computer savvy that Chloe Sullivan has.
This also isn't a reference to Smallville specifically, but in The Office, Steve Carell's character compared himself to Superman and his employees to the citizens of Gotham City. One of the employees said that is Batman then Carell said fine, he is like Aquaman! It was hilarious!

There was a Smallville category on Jeopardy! once. It didn't have anything to do with the show, however.

We saw "Without a Paddle" today *hangs head shamefully* and there was a part where Seth Green is shot at and it was just like SV. We see the bullet moving towards him in slo-mo, he dodges backwards in slo-mo, and the bullet flys right past him. I was like, hey, that's just like how Clark does it!!!

Not really a Smallville reference, but at the end of Old School, Craig Kilborn drives his porche off a bridge that looks exactly like the one in the SV Pilot. In almost the same way as Lex too, only difference is that the car lands on Jeremy Piven and they both die.
Everytime I see the movie, that scene always makes me think of the Pilot episode.

That's definitely Seinfeld!!! He's a HUGE Superman fan. He makes references to it all the time. Like weaknesses being a person's Kryptonite or enemies being their Lex Luthor.

WILL: What is it about "Smallville" that brings out both the teenage girl and the lecherous old man in me?
Grace: It's the writing.
I never got the joke. Can someone explain it?

At the beginning of the Will and Grace episode Mr and Mrs Jones Smallville is mentioned.
Its the quote other people have posted here:
WILL: What is it about "Smallville" that brings out both the teenage girl and the lecherous old man in me?
GRACE: It's the writing.
But theres also a bit when Jack comes in:
JACK: Hmm, interesting. "Smallville" night. Oh, I used to be a part of that back in the day. Don't have time for it anymore.
In the background 'save me' by Remy Zero is playing...obviously to show they are 'actually' watching Smallville on TV! Tee Hee!
Thought it was kinda cool.....:)
