Japanese Spiderman full episode

Yes there is a Japanese version of Spiderman. He gained his powers from aliens rather than a spider bite. He has a giant robot and uses kung-fu against aliens. Here's a few fun facts for Toei's Spiderman:

a) It was the first Sentai(japanese super heroes, usually five members) show that spawned Ultraman and Power Rangers.

b) His robot, Leopardon, was stolen after the 10th show. So they used stock footage for the robot fights.

c) Leopardon was imported to the states to join the "Shogun Warriors" line of toys. His webs were removed so there will be no resemblence to Spiderman.

d) Battle Fever J(another Toei/Marvel production after Spiderman) was to be called Captain Japan(a Japanese version of Captain America). It even featured a character named Ms. America.

e) There was even a Spiderman manga(japanese comic) that was created by Buronson and Tetsu Hara( the team that created Fist of the North Star). It was more true to original comic and a lot more violent.

Why did he have a giant robot?


Bandai(?) had the rights to market toys for the show and at the time giant robots sold really well in Japan. So to accomidate the sponser a giant robot was added.
