did anyone see the "NEXT TIME ON" thing showing oliver get arrested. it's about time. 2 episodes of him and i already hate him. i was starting to think there was no natalie. and hailey? god, she's she most annoying person ever! someone wants to kill her so she locks two men in a poolhouse? what a loser. anna and seth... that's the way it should be. summer's hot, don't get me wrong, but anna would be a lot cooler to hang around with. hmmm.... i guess that's it.

Agreed. I like Anna alot better than Summer. She seems to be a better fit for Seth. I also thought that this one was one of the funniest episodes. (They are all pretty funny) I am glad that Kirsten and Sandy did not go through with the swingers party. You could tell that Kirsten did not want to do it. Haliey and Oliver need to leave the O.C. for good!

I watched the episode last night. Here's a run down:

Luke gets his tire slashed.

Seth and Anna tell Summer that they are now a couple. Summer is fine with it.

Marissa keeps hanging out with Oliver. While she is not with Ryan.

Oliver gets concert tickets for Natalie, Marissa, Ryan, Seth, Anna, Summer & Luke. Too bad that Natalie never shows up.

Oliver gets busted for trying to score 3 grams of cocaine from a cop. Ryan sees this and calls Sandy to get Oliver out.

Jimmy and Haley make out. Haley is always trying to stir up trouble.

Ryan, Marissa, Seth, Anna & Luke hang out at Seth's after the concert. Then we see a lurker in the window...It's Oliver. This guy is creepy!

Reasons why Oliver is such a loser:
1) He takes Ryan, Marissa, Seth, Anna & Luke on a trip to his parents beach house where everyone was to meet his parents (not so loserish) He claims that he got back together with Natalie for good and that she will be coming, only to show up at Ryan & Seth's house before leaving saying that him and Natalie broke up for good.
2) Marissa rides with him so that they can talk. While Ryan rides with Luke.
3) Luke and Ryan tried to keep up with Oliver and Marissa but Oliver lost them
4) His parent never showed up, their plane got delayed
5) He put Marissa and Ryan in the only room with 2 single beds
6) While driving golf carts he ran Luke and Ryan off the path into the bushes. And this eyes were crazy. Marissa said that Oliver was just joking around, but he wasn't
7) Ryan told him that next time he wanted to be alone with his girlfriend to not invite him. Oliver thru a bowl and start to repeatedly hit himself in the head. Then Marissa came in and Oliver left to get some air.
8) Oliver called Marissa 2 hours later saying that he took a bunch of pills and that he was back in Newport. Only Oliver did not take any pills.
9) Marissa and Ryan drive back to help Oliver to find him in a bath robe at the door. Apologizing for ruining their weekend. He claim that he did not answer the door cause he was in the shower but all he was doing was listening to music and dancing around. Then he claims that he is okay now and that he thru up the pills.
10) Marissa decides to spend the night with him because she does not want him to be alone. So Ryan leaves.

Is Marissa blind or stupid. Oliver wants to be with her and she can't see it. I was waiting for Ryan to take him out. Luke also made some coments about Oliver, I waas waiting for Luke to punch him too.

Summer was really annoying always interrupting Seth and Anna, saying I thought that you wanted to be friends.

Here's what happend last night:

1) Oliver now goes to Harbour School now
2) Sandy and Jimmy buy The Lighthouse
3) Summer and a new and annoying boyfriend, who most people think is funny but he isn't
4) Luke tells Ryan that Oliver is after Marissa, big suprise. Luke says that if Ryan wants Luke to 'take him out' he will
5) Anna & Seth seem to always be wanting to order the same thing and wearing similar if not the same clothes.
6) Julie has a one time shot to decorate a house before Kirsten hires her. Julie bombs and Kirsten help her to get the house in order before Caleb sees it. Caleb likes what he sees and hires Julie because her 'and Kirsten are such good friends'
7) Ryan breaks in the file room at Harbour to read Oliver's file. The security guard catches him. But not before he reads that Oliver was found in the bathroom of his old school with his wrists slit over a girl. The girl filed a restaining order on him and that is why he now goes to Harbour. Ryan is facing supension or expulsion over his actions.
8) Ryan sees Oilver hand Marissa a letter which she puts in her locker. Ryan takes it home. Seth tells him not to read. Ryan reads it, it states how he is in love with her.
9) Marissa finds out about Ryan breaking into the file room. Then Ryan asks Marissa about the letter. Marissa is pissed and she calls things off with Ryan because the letter was for Natalie.
10) Oilver tells Ryan that him and Marissa were not meant to be and that he didn't even have to do anything to get them to break up. Oilver says that Marissa and him are soul mates. Ryan punches Oilver just as Marissa walks in.

This one is for shirkie Anna says to Seth that they should go back to his place and play Jenga in his room. I guess that you were right about the meaning of Jenga!! :rothl:

10) Ryan tries to tell Marissa that there is no 'Natalie' but she doesn't believe him
11) Marissa storms off to Oliver's to stay there
12) Luke warms Marissa that there is no 'Natalie' too, but do you think that she gets the fact that there isn't a 'Natalie' NO
13) Luke goes to Julies to get clothes for Marissa
14) Julie and Luke come really close to kiss, which freaked me out
15) Marissa finds out that 'Natalie Bishop' used to babysit Oliver and she works in the hotel
16) Marissa confronts Oliver about it and he starts hitting himself in the head & he won't let Marissa leave
17) Marissa calls Ryan to come and help
18) Oliver pulls a gun on her
19) Ryan and Sandy go to the hotel and also run into 'Natalie Bishop' who takes them up to Olivers suite

21) Ryan yells for Marissa but there is no answer. He yells again & she screams "He's got a gun"

wow it seems everyone's episodes come on at a differant time! i think seth will be back to normal seth by next week. seth probably got really caught up in the anna/summer thing. i am really glad also that the season is back again. i have to wonder though will ryan's ex become the new oliver? i really wished anna would stay but i guess the conflict was too much. still once again i say BYE BYE OLIVER. i do worry though in future episodes oliver will come back in a mean way when we least expect it. but thats why we love this crazy show LOL

Julie and Luke getting together is pretty icky. I wish Marissa would just go away. Is there seriously an episode called "The Telenovela?" Ok, so yeah. I just watched last night's OC (I always tape it, and I had to miss it last night, but was not going to miss that episode).

I definately cried through that one. Well, the end at least. I can't believe she actually left! When Seth was standing there, asking her not to go I was like 'yes! listen to him! don't leave, please?!? What are we going to do without you???'
So yes, I was crying my eyes out during that.

As for Sandy helping Cal... we're definately going to see repercussions from that... don't know what yet... but it's going to be bad. For him and Kirsten.

Ho humm... oh yes, I think we aren't done seeing Theresa. She'll be back... sometime. But I like her, and I like her and Marissa hanging out. That was sweet of Marissa, and I was proud of her.

Summer really matured. I was suprised. When she told Seth to go find Anna. That was sweet!

I love watching the OC. Either way, Ryan will almost certainly end up back with Marissa, I'm guessing that this will be the season ending. I think Anna is far more attractive than Summer, and I have a feeling that she'll be back. As for Teresa, I'm not so sure she'll be back. I'd love to see her come back though so I can see Eddie kick the crap out of Ryan again.

And I agree, I can't believe it's not on for three weeks. It seems this way for most shows right now, including Smallville obviously.

Eh, yeah. I watched it frame by frame... and it's a guy who is put onto the strecher... looks like it's either Luke (please!!!) or Seth (nooooo!!!). I sure hope they don't kill Seth off. I love Adam Brody... he's such a good actor.

My theory is that the car crash will happen in the last 20 min of the season fin. and the last scene will be whoever it is flatlining at the hospital... but that's just what I think.
If it was Seth, then that would sure fix the whole Summer/Seth break up.... or even better, they have a fight and Seth stoms out, only to get in a car wreck... wow. That would be sad.

They're not going to kill Seth off. Seth is part of the Cohen family, around whom the show focuses. He could get *injured* and heal, but he wouldn't be *killed.* Luke, on the other hand, is relatively expendable now that his rivalry with Ryan has died down.

I swear, this episode just confirmed to me even more that Marissa is the O.C.'s Lana Lang... Everything always revolves around her... All. The. Time. Her and her melodramatic crap. Gah. She annoys me so much... I watch for Ryan, Seth, Sandy, Kirsten, Summer, Luke, and even Jimmy and Hailey MUCH more than I watch for her... Waaaa. She shoulda left instead of Anna.

Hmmm.... I almost agree, though Mischa Barton (Marissa) was the reason I started watching the show (because of some of her previous work), but recently it seems as if she is the cry baby of the O.C., if something isn't exactly her way, then it's totally out of the question, though I do feel sorry for her because of the whole Luke/Julie thing....

As for if Seth leaves, I sure hope not, but someone did post a spoiler saying that one of the four (favorite) teens were going to leave. Personally, I'd rather see any of the other three leave over Seth (though it would be sad to see Summer leave Seth all alone, I have grown quite fond of Ryan.... and without Marissa, who will whine all the time? :)).

If anyone is going to leave my guess would be that it would be Luke. He really doesn't serve any purpose to the show anymore, and I felt the writers really had to reach to keep him in the show with having him sleep with Julie Cooper.

Well, Summer and Julie quickly became fan favorites (Julie, for many people, is at least the one you love to hate) while Luke got booed and hissed at because he was keeping Marissa and Ryan apart (just like Whitney got booed and hissed at by S1 Clana'ers). Now that there is no longer a Marissa/Ryan/Luke conflict, Luke is pretty irrelevant. I'll miss him, though.

I refer to Luke as "the Whitney of The O.C.". He serves as an obstacle for the main character to become involved with the girl that he wants. After Ryan got Marissa, there was really no reason for Luke to be around anymore. Since then, they have turned him into a dork who loves to sing and play guitar. Like I said before, I thought that the writers were really reaching when they had Luke sleep with Julie Cooper. All of the characters on the show serve a purpose, and now Luke just seems like he is out of place.

They have tried to make Ryan and Luke become friends, but I still cannot buy it.

Oh, by the way, a friend told me that in this issue of J-14 there is the first of three pull-out posters for the OC. This month it's Mischa and Adam, but if you get the next two month's worth, then put them all together, you'll get the couch pic. And it'll be a good size too.

And no, Rooney isn't on the soundtrack at all... I think they did over use them in that one episode. Plus you can always see the poster when they have a shot in Seth's room. It's right above his bed.

As for Luke and Summer hooking up instead.... I must quote a very 'wise' girl: 'Ewww!' ;)

I don't think FOX iz 2 keen on showing repeats of series in the Summer. Even if its like one of the most popular shows that they have had in a while....If u can try 2 buy the first season on DVD, or Netflix it.

this could very well be common knowledge by now, but...

Summer and Seth are going to break up in either two or three episodes, can't recall the official number.

Ryan and Marissa, as we all thought, will get back together.

Luke is the one involved in a near fatal accident.

Jimmy cannot get a liquor permit because of his felonious past, this could prevent him from being a partner in the restaurant.

That's really all I have. Read it on multiple sites. It's too bad they are going to break Summer and Seth up....But this could leave the door open to a potential return by Anna either next season or in the season finale. Even though, iirc, she has been cast in a pilot.

Last night was good... Summer definately got some brownie points in my book... Seth was sweet too. ('Course I love Adam Brody...)

This was the first episode that I was able to watch Marissa and
not want to smack her.... too much. The only thing I didn't think was very wise was when she went to Caleb.... by herself. Not a wise move on her part.

Well, Luke is gone, and they didn't kill him off... that's good. Not the part that he's gone, just the part that they didn't kill him off.

And the BIG suprise of this episode (drum roll please!) Is that Ryan and Marissa got back together (who would've thought?!?:rolleyes: ). We'll see how long that will last with next week Theresa coming back after Eddie hit her (who wants to start placing bets on whether or not she's pregnate... and with Ryan's baby?)

Caleb and Julie... Does Caleb really know everything? I doubt it... he just wanted to take the wind out of Marissa's sails.
And Julie as Kirsten's step-mom? To borrow a Summer word 'Ewwww!'

I thought it was overall a good episode. A bit cliched though. Boy loves girl. Girl breaks up with boy. Boy gets drunk. Boy gets in car wreck. I think they could've left the booze aspect of it out. Line of the night, "being mean to someone requires actually talking to them." I would've been in the comic book club.

No way if Teresa is pregnant it's Ryan's. That would completely ruin the show. Now if it were Luke's baby with Julie Cooper, now that would be smashing.

Yeah, i agree. Its somenthing about Marissa's attitude that irks me. I kno that she has a lot of problems but it seems like she never does that right thing. Arg... I like Theresa and all... but moving in with the Cohens?!? I don't really like that... at all. Makes things a tad bit... awkward or whatever.
And Marissa helping Kirsten plan her mother's shower... wow. And at the same time, why? I mean, aren't wedding showers supposed to be like baby showers where you only have them the first time around? And it's not like people need to give Julie anything because she's only marring the richest man in Newport beach (even if he is disgustingly old).

And I wish that Summer and Seth could just be a couple for a little more than 3-4 episodes. Why do the writers feel like they have to break everyone (with the exception of Sandy and Kirsten) up every other episode? Too many couples to count in just the period of time that I've been watching the show.

On another note, I picked up the Elle Girl today because Samarie (Anna) is on the cover with the question 'is Anna coming back to the O.C.?'. They never really answer that question, but they do provide an email address that you can email to help get her back. It's something like SaveAnna@ellegirl.com (I think that's it, but I'll have to check if there is a dash between elle and girl or not)
So that may be worth looking into.

Now, it can only be Theresa (likely), Marissa (unlikely), Kirsten (unlikely, IMHO), Julie (unlikely since Luke is gone now), Summer (which would be interesting, but unlikely), or Hailey (unlikely). My money's on Theresa. They're doing the stereotype thing here: girl from Chino with a big heart, engaged to an abusive mechanic named Eddie (who looks like Satan, IMHO!)... Ugh.

Last night's was good. I loved the Julie/Hailey cat fight... priceless... and Marissa's 'Oversharing!!'.... and Ryan and Seth... uh.... yeah. Glad Seth and Summer are back together... but I still miss Anna. Alot. I hope she comes back someday.

And for Theresa's baby being Ryan's.... naw, it wouldn't ruin the show... it would just make things more complicated. No one said she's going to have the baby... but if she does, she'll probably go to Atlanta and live with her cousin.
Who knows, maybe it is Eddie's baby... I'm sensing some DNA testing in the near future... hopefully.
But if it wasn't Ryan's baby, then why did the previews for next week make it sounds like he was leaving the Cohens? And Kirsten was crying... and Marissa was like 'I understand why you're doing this' or something like that. I don't know. Too confusing.

Personally, I think that they should make the baby belong to Ryan. It will add more struggle to his relationship with Marissa. I don't know if anyone on here watched Lois and Clark. However, as soon as Lois and Clark got together, people lost interest. I fear the same thing will happen if Marissa and Ryan become set in stone. They are obviously meant to be together. But in order to keep people interested, you need to have a lot of conflict in their relationship and never make things too easy for them. This makes people become frustrated and interested at the same time, which keeps people from getting bored with them overall.
