OK, so they are 90s grunge and no longer exist and blah blah blah (RIP KURT!) but they are, IMO, one of the greatest rock bands in history!

I love Nirvana and I think they'd still be going strong today. Maybe they wouldn't be as famous if Kurt was still alive though. :(

Exactly what I think, I don't really like their music, probably the only album I could listen complete would their MTV Unplugged ;)

I love that Kurt had his own style of music, however, I do find his music to be a bit overrated.

Heart Shaped Box is my favorite song by Nirvana.

It's not the music that’s overrated it's the band - and saying that it's mostly Kurt himself because he was an addict who eventually killed himself.
Though just because there are loads of people who love Nirvana and go on about how great they were isn't reason to not like them personally if music sounds good to me I like it no matter if it's a highly over rated band or a cheesy band everyone hates, it's the music that matters.

I myself love Nirvana have since I first heard there album Bleach, though personally my fave album is In Utero.
I also love all the raw material from With the Lights Out - maybe not the best band ever, but definitely one of the all time greats.

No I think the music and band is overrated.

But again, everyone has their music choices and beliefs. So we'll leave it at that.

I think I was in middle school/early high school when they came out and everyone was listening to them... they called them "grunge" or something... I think they were pretty cool... I'm not an expert when it comes to "rock" and don't even know what kind of rock qualifies for each band and so forth... but compared to the kind of music that was out at the time, I'd have to say that I liked them a great deal... and still listen to them to this day...

Nooooo. Sellout was not Kurt's way. He hated the whole "Hollywood" side of being a rock star, he never would have sold out... he just gave up.
