Is turning into quite the scumbag and I'm loving every second of it! Finally this doo wop "let's be friends" Lex Luthor is gone and the Lex of the future is finally here.

Rosenbaum is doing a kick ass job as well.

What I really liked was his twisted, Lionel-like sense of justification. Even in his unscrupulousness, he had a point, in his own way, but he still went too far, which is the key ingredient to Lex's villainy: the ends justify the means to him, like Clark said.

I want Lex to press Breaking and Entering charges against Clark.
I am not joking.

Clark has to learn not just to break in to lex's home or office anytime he thinks its a good idea. Clark has to start using his brain a little.

Lex will be the featured villain on the show by next season. This season is all about Lionel when it comes to villainy though. I can't wait to see how Lex progresses while going head to head with his father again.

Lex being a complete vilian next season...I can see that. Brainiac needs SOMEONE to talk to without immediately getting in a fight, cause Clark will just go after him if he shows his face.

The line about the end justifying the means was rich come from Clark, who seems to have no problem breaking laws and lying through his teeth every five seconds.

I'd say that Lex has gone pretty evil already. He completely lied about not knowing the doctor working on Victor. LEx was the one who came up with the idea to go to his girlfriends house too.
Why doesn't Clark just tell Lana that Lex knew and for that matter why didn't Victor tell her that Lex knew about it. Wouldn't that stop the whole Lex/Lana thing? though Clark doesn't seem to want to stop it really.

YES!! I was thinking the very same thing. Lana was standing up for lex to victor and afterward they really should have told lana about lex knowing....

But, I'm thinking maybe if they did lex would just explain to her that he was trying to help him like he told clark...better alive than dead and the way lana is with lex nowadays she'd believe him.

I really enjoyed Evil!Lex in this episode. This is the first time we've actually seen Lex be a badass villain without any ambiguity present, and it was a welcome change. Much better than watching him hang around with Lana, too.

I was wondering about that also, and that really is an interesting statement about Clark, "not really wanting it to stop". Clark isn't really fighting very hard to keep his woman, is he?

Yes! He really was a major scumbag in this episode. Lex is creepiest when he's smiling, pretending to be Clark's friend, sincere and always willing to lend a helping hand. I can't wait until he surpasses Lionel in the Diabolical Department!

Doesn't seem that if Lex has turned this evil he could ever be sincere about anything he says to Lana (as good as his lying would be to her). She's in for a ride if they get these two together.

Man, and she thinks she has it bad with Clark...

I can't even remember the last episode in which they portrayed Lex as being truly sincere.

Then again, Clark didn't seem too sincere when he was telling Lana that he'd always love her.

Bah Lana should have ****ing died off in Reckoning. I'm getting so sick of her *****ing and complaining. SECRETZ~! LIEZ~! If I was Clark I'd power slap the taste out of her mouth and remind her that his dad just died.

You know what would really screw her over? If he was to tell her his secret now and exactly WHY and who his dad died for. Maybe that will shut her the **** up.

Lex is more 'without morals' right now as opposed to evil...as soon as i see him kill a pregnant mother then kick a dog with one of those big collars around its neck then i wll concede this is the lex luthor from the comics...

Yikes bad image lol. And yes I agree with you there. There is a point to Lex's madness with the Cyborg, and really the Aquaman plot. I mean, developing weapons is a common practice and when the weapons are released, people aren't called evil for developing them. Here it was that the fish were being killed around the device and that all the bugs hadnt been worked out yet, which got Aquaman upset, who then enlisted Clarks aid. Without any weapons here we'd all be screwed. I dont think Lex will turn evil as in the comic books, just like I dont think Clark will be a pure angel like in the comics. Before it was one dimensional, black and white, and stereotypical. Now we're actually three dimensional, realistic emotions from all sides, and interesting.

To me the real Lex Luthor is three dimensional (Thank God), just as Clark is here. They've thankfully avoided too many stereotypes with this show, even if the characters do get a bit predictable sometimes.
