So, am i the only one out there who suddenly has the overwhelming urge to go out and buy a 300 dollar piece of sleek looking metal that only spins in circles out of the Sharper Image catalogue?

i am new here, so hi

i gotta say, i prefer placement advertisment over commercial breaks. The first one that hit me was the old spice ad when clark was walking out the field to play football a few seasons back.

All i say is "Oh, look, Old Spice", and keep watching. No need to sit though 5 minutes of mindnumbing McDonalds ads.

Was it just in the San Diego area or did anybody else experience more commercials during this ep than the Super Bowl? Seemed like half an hour of ads and 30 minutes of actual show. This is really dissin' the fans.

They are product placing in the show now because of the best invention ever.....TVO baby nobody wants to see commercials anymore....i would never miss live smallville but that is still the reasoning behind it all....

They get money each time they place an ad on SV so why not.. They cant beat ratings might as well try an get some extra money out of it

But then what show isn't product placement? It's not just Smallville, it's every show on TV! I don't know why there is such a big fuss overe product placement. It doesn't bother me and ruin the show. I don't get how it could. I agree the Acuvue was a bit much, but other times they don't hit you over the head with it. For instance, last night's episode was Sharper Image. Victor just made a reference to it, but didn't say "Go buy things from there NOW!". It wasn't that bad at all.

I kind of like seeing things on the show that I use or my family ues, sort of makes the show more familiar. You know...like we folks here on the forum are just one big sometimes happy family, so are the folks on SV like part of our big sometimes happy family. Product placements do not bother me, although I do prefer the subtle placements more than the IN YOUR FACE ones. I do get tired of the lengthy comercials on SV and on the other 2 shows I watch. But, they gotta pay for the budget. I'd rather have comercials and product placements than no SV.
