WOW what a great ending

the whole clana scene was shot very well. both tom and kristin did great, and the lighting and just the whole scene was awesome

Well that cats out of the bag!! I really wanted to jump through the tv screen and strangle Lionel with my bare hands not because he knows but for what he's doing to Martha. And she is still holding on to the notion that they are friends.

Is it me or has Clark stopped looking Lana in the eyes? It's like he is always focusing on something else,looking at her is too hard knowing she's alive and Dad died.

The ending was very good. I am wondering what Lionel's angle is? He's got video of Clark saving Lana, I wonder what the picture was in the episode "The Reckoning" ? It was probably something similar to the video. Anybody got any clues?

Exactly, this is the way that Clana should be done. It shouldn't involve Lex and Lana, it should just be about the two of them. I thought this episode was the best Clana episode since earlier in the season.
On a side note, I have to start faulting Martha with some of the things that is going on. We are quick to bash Lana for going to Lex, which I disagree with by the way, but how about Martha cuddling up to Lionel? Lionel has been the biggest bad guy in smallville yet, even worse than Lex so far, and she considers him a friend now? That's a little ridiculous.

My guess is it was a screenshot printout of the video. My biggest problem now is how much of MB is still Lionel, and how much is Jor-El/Brainiac/Zod/Kaptain Kangaroo whoever you think is occasionally running the show inside MB's noggin.

I'm finding myself in agreement with those that are saying that MB's interest in Martha is his 2nd persona trying to get closer to Clark, but that just begs the question of WHY!

I can handle the season ending cliffhangers as they're a staple of TV, but these "mid-season break" ones are going to be the death of me.

That was a fantastic ending. I figured he had an idea (since he did threaten jonathon), but calling him Kal-El was awesome.

Wow, I'm in agreement with everyone, that ending was just amazing...When Lionel said "Your secret is safe with me, Kal-El," I was like what the hell, how, how did he know Clark's real name? I'm going with the idea that Jor-El is still inhabiting Lionel, in an attempt to protect Clark and his true identity from the world.

Lana in the barn whining to Clark is so boring at this late date. Lana abandoned Clark when he needed her. They BROKE UP! SHe has no business coming to the barn to ahine about anything. Any the I love you forever from Clark is ridiculous since she treats him like crap and always has. Every time Lana comes to the barn it's screen time and my time wasted and last night was no exception. It makes no snese according to show canon. She isn't Clark's girlfriend and he shouldn't be calling her his girlfriend because they broke up!

Now as for Lionel? I sat there wondering if that wasn't Lion-El once more. I don't hink that was necessarily at all Lionel Luthor.

Yes, it was a great ending. I actually stopped breathing during the last minute, and then clapped when Lionel said "Kal-El". The show is getting exciting again!

Anyway its obvious Jor-el is still in Lionel and controling him, hence why Lionel took the package of Martha to protect her and clark.

OR Lionel has truly gone nice, which i doubt so i think Jor-el is still in him theory works better lol.

The ending wasn't so much a shock for me; I was just excited that the writers finally had Lionel say out loud the words we've all been waiting to hear. The 'thank you my son' part was just a teaser, but the ending in Cyborg really exploded any doubts.

Yeah I think that Lionel cessed to exist once the crystal was activated in his pocket, I think that its not necessarily always Jor-El in his body but I would say that he has more control over Lionel than Lionel does if you know what I mean, on the other hand you could say that Lionel is dead and Jor-El now has his body, this is why he is trying to woe Martha so that he can act as a father figure to Clark, or you could say that he only controls him sometimes when he needs to and the reason that Lionel is tiring to woe Martha is he has always wanted Martha for himself and now that JK is out of the way he is free to do this now.
Either way it’s a bit of a conundrum and one that the PTB will probably play on for quite a while just to keep us guessing.
