I was wondering how many people would watch a series with Cyborg rather than an Aquaman series. I do think that both have their potentials but Cyborg intrigues me more. Cyborg fighting crime, maintaining a love life, maybe even creating a new identity with his new reborn life while meeting those from his past. Jett jackson guy that plays him wasnt doing that bad either in the episode...

hmmm... TPTB are you listening?

lol we'll see.

At this point, Cyborg is standing out more but he really hasn't done that much this episode thus far.

Of course I am going to vote cyborg.
When I was growing up the greatest tv show was The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman.

Also i dont know how long until i pull my hair out listening to some surfer dude save some dolphins every epp. heh. just kidding. aquaman does have it's pluses.. major cgi and effects probably. interesting story lines too. as long as that dude that played aquaman in smallville isnt playing him... lol.

They could also have a cameo appearance by Lee Majors as the Six Million Dollar Man ;)

Cyborg at least can stay out of water for more than an hour -

I think the possibilities for Episodes being various each episode is much stronger w/ Cyborg.. Aquaman would be limited, IMO, it would always have to be near Water..
Cyborg can be just like Superman, cept the fact that Superman Can Fly, see thru things, heat vision, and super-speed..
Cyborg has strength
Aquaman can just swim fast, :) don't know how well a person who swims fast would do for a series on TV
Superman (Smallville) >>> Over all since Clark can do so much :)

Cyborg, I feel he has the potential to be one of DC's top heavy hitters. Or maybe it's just because I find him more interesting then Aquaman.....

I liked Cyborg a lot. I think the most important reason people are liking the Cyborg storyline was that they chose a MUCH better actor to play Victor Stone than they chose to play A.C. in 'Aqua'. So I'm giving the Aquaman series a chance.

Hey, another thing I liked about this ep - didn't I hear the 'Six Million Dollar Man' "bionics" sound effect at least once? :D

cyborg! its funny because so many people, my self included really expected this episode and cyborg to suck. but it was the polar opposite. i voted cyborg because not only is he hotter and a better actor/storyline but he doesn't say "bro" every five seconds and and make my eyes bleed with his excessively ripped physique

Cyborg, definitely! They got a much better actor to play him and he was a much more sympathetic character. He's not one of my favorite guest characters, mind you, (I thought he was a bit bland), but he was much better than Aquaman. When Lex tortured Aquaman in Aqua I just laughed, but I actually felt sorry for Victor in this episode.

Cyborg, hands down, no question.

Loved this ep, loved his character and there's so much to work on- rebuilding his life, his love life including, watching his girlfriend cope with the truth, finding work, trying to be a regular guy and still helping people because he can. His ghosts from his past in the form of his dead family. If it runs a while, perhaps even the challenge of having a family and the conflict that may cause. It would be wonderful.

and he needs a technical caregiver so it allows for a sidekick.

Man, they're stupid.

An Aquaman spinoff is going to suck. No one cares about Aquaman.

How about a live action Teen Titans?

Oh yeah.

I rather watch Cyborg. I am one of the few that actually like that Aquaman appereance, but i wouldnt wanna watch a series of a guy who powers only do him good in the water. Doesnt intrigue me.

I liked Cyborg much more than Aqua. And I agree that LTY is much hotter and a better actor than the guy who was in Aqua (though there is another actor going to play him on the show anyway) I am gonna give Aquaman a chance but Cyborg I still think had everything needed to be a great show.

Oh and even though I never have watched or read or pretty much know nothing about the Teen Titans I could see how that could make a good show.

I don't know that the CW has even picked up the Aquaman show yet, so the concept may tank. If it does, then maybe Al/Miles will try again with a Cyborg spinoff? :)

I voted for Cyborg. My only complaint with the whole show is that Vic didn't look like Marv Wolfman's Cyborg. Part of the tragedy of that character was that his metal parts were on the outside so unlike Steve Austin he had a conscious daily reminder of his differences. People stared at him and were obviously afraid judging him on his looks only and making him feel like a true Frankenstein's Monster. Vic in turn reacted in anger the way he often did and lamented on his accident and survival while also pushing people away from him and having to re-learn how to let them inside and be close to them all over again.

I loved "Smallville's" version of the character, but I think Wolfman's character was great and had staying power because of how he was portrayed then rather than despite it.

I guess this is another one of Almiles way of saying he isn't "Cyborg" yet. Just like Clark isn't the man in tights yet and Lois isn't the sheer ambitious reporter yet.

Oh, and I vote for Cyborg. :D

If only Cyborg could talk to dolphins, then they'd have the best of both worlds.

I voted Cyborg. The storyline they gave him was really interesting and as Kal's Girl mentioned, there is quite a lot to explore with this character. Smallville's Aquaman is a hard one to judge a show off of since the actor was really not so good. But based on characterization alone, I'd watch Cyborg over Aquaman.

And hanemg, maybe over time Cyborg just removes his skin to save time on repairs to all his internal machinery. lol

when victor was shot and he was messing around with the wound, i thought he was gonna peel it off like T2 style and my eyes rolled... but he didnt.

we all know how instances from the terminator movies TPTB have incoporated into smallville. maybe a cyborg series will be TPTB's chance to make a 'terminator' series.

I totally go with Cyborg. Aqua has to be my least favorite episode of this season. Cyborg is just way cooler. He's the 6 million dollar man in a hotter younger and hipper package.

cyborg would be a much better series because he have battle himself as he becomes less and less human as far as the bionic enhancements he would receive, he would also also have to deal with maintaining a love life or lack thereof.

Cyborg all the way, it would make a far better show then Aquaman(which i don't find very interesting!). Cyborg is far cooler, then a sirene(man lol).

If they make a Cyborg series they have a multidimensional character with numerous story line possiblities. For instance Victor Stone on the run trying to get away from Luthor corp and the military. Helping people all over the country and learning more about his abilities and learning how to fix himself and become scientist. Is the real Cyborg a scientist like in the Teen TItans? The tv series can be Like the old hulk tv show.

An Aqua man series is too 1 dimensional, What can AC do besides talk to fish and throw water balls at people. I guess we are gonna watch him talk to his gold fish for an hour. The only possible storyline I can see for AC is for the writers to revamp all of the old Bay watch episodes but just add AC into the story.

"Next week on Bay Watch Aqua Man gets a tan, Also he talks to fish" AUUUUUUH

Wow, 89 to 5 votes favoring Cyborg. Yeah, great idea going for the Aquaman show, AlMiles.

What would have been cool about a Cyborg show is that maybe they could have had SV characters like Lex guest star on it sometimes.

They could always retcon stuff so to speak, make Aquamans water dependency less, give him that plot device "Water Hand" from comics, or increase his strength/durability.

To me I feel, not basing this on the individual Smallville perfomances mind you, that more of a plot/stories can be derived from the largely established Aquaman mythos though continuity would be a big deal.

A Cyborg series would feel thin for as far as I know, the character doesn't have an extensive mythos or as detailed background/surrounding characters made for him. While it would allow creative freedom for show producers/writers, it would be harder to introduce fans and have to keep testing out support characters. In Smallville, all they had to add was Chloe. For Victor, they'd have to create a whole new cast of people surrounding him and give him purpose/story that can carry on for seasons. Just don't see that successfully happening.

This particular episode of Smallville even, despite having a very talented actor, I noticed Jett Jackson (sorry can't recall his name  ) seemed a little bland in some parts of the role. He didn't reallly have too much to draw from, despite his talents. Cyborg mythos just isn't very deep or substantive, as compared to say, Aquaman.

For that reason I feel TV execs would be more willing to invest in an Aquaman series, and it would do better. Once more comic stories are written for Cyborg, and applied and embraced by a target demographic audience, then perhaps a chance would be taken on it for an onscreen series.

That is not true. all you need is a good writer and good script and the show has possibilities. Unlike Aqua man who can only be in one geographical area Cyborg has the possibilities of going any where in the world including the water. He's not Aqua man if he is not around water.

Plus a good example of a no name comic character that became popular through media is Blade. Before the movie no one new who Blade was. But they created a movie on a character that no one new could bring money to the box office and it was successful and actually help spark the comic movie era. So to say that becaus Cyaborg is not one of the comic book elite characters that he wouldn't make a good tv series is crazy.

I would rather see a flash tv series over an Aqua man, at least his character is interesting, and I can actually see a story behind a flash TV series. Wonder Woman would be good but AC is not good.

Personally, I voted Aquaman but that must be because I'd rather see guys with washboard stomachs running around that guys peeling off skin to reveal machine parts.

The other thing is most people liked the performance of they guy who played Cyborg better than Aquaman If the SV writers didn't make him sound so annoying by saying "Bro" all the time, then we may have enjoyed Aquaman better.

I like the Aquaman mythos. Doesn't mean I don't like Cyborg because I do. I just like Aquaman and that he's the guy that wants to save the world not own it. The opposite of Lex. Yeah.

Hey! I take offense to that. Living in a beach town, I tend to use "Bro" a lot in everyday speak. :D

As for familliarity with characters, for the poster above, that is usually a big deal for greenlighting shows.

I had to flip a coin to decide. I really like both. It was way too hard for me to decide. The coin landed on "head", which was the event that Cyborg would be chosen.
