So, I havent yet seen the show, but from the teasers, it seems that Cyborg doenst have the metallic parts showing like the cyborg in the comics. So, the question of the night...
Which do you like better?
I like both, but prefer the old one. The problem is, you can't do the old one justice in a single episode, so they really shouldn't do the old one. This way, at least, they can do it in an episode and then build on it later if they opt to bring him back ever.

I liked the old cyborg because of all the metal on the outside, but I did like the way they did this episode to.

I liked this rendition of Cyborg personally. He seemed more human to me than the Cyborg in the comics. Whether that because this Cyborg has a G/f and is still coping with whats happened to him, i dont know.

Cy does have his comics look, they showed it when CK used his Xray vision. I was pretty disappointed that he didn't look like the original character.

I am so glad I wasn't the only one who caught that.

I like the old look. By looking at the AlMiles version, you can't tell he's half teen, half machine.

I was disappointed at first, but now that I've seen it, I think the Al/Miles version worked well for a TV show. The comic version would be a little too cartoonish I think. However, when the doctor said that had repaired and improved his arm, I was sort of hoping for a sonic cannon (or whatever that thing is) reference.

Me too! I really wanted to see Cyborg yell "booyah" and shoot someone with the cannon. Would have been a great way to show that deep inside they are the same guy.

It was obvious that SV's Cyborg had no outside metal simply to reduce the budget, but I was extremely pleased to see that all the parts were in the right place when Clark X-rayed him. His origin was shaken up quite a bit. An extra dimensionel rift accidentally opened by Vic's scientist parents, killing his mother and destroying half of victor's body, was simplified as a car crash. I will point out that he NEVER had a sister before. I think I like TT Cyborg better, but the two are almost separate characters.

Given the origin of Smallville's Cyborg and the lack of references usually associated with future heroes ("maybe start a club or a league" and "we could start the Junior Lifeguard Association" "The JLA?"), I'm inclined to think that this was an episode about a cyborg, as opposed to the Cyborg. The only similarity between the two is the name "Vic Stone".

I seriously doubt that. How many black cyborgs do you think there are. Besides this ep was hyped about DC's Cyborg coming to the show.

i really like the new cyborg. Its a little more realistic, even though he has a terminator feel to him(the whole pulling skin off the arm thing). But it is a lot more reasonable to see him able to function in everyday society. It also worked with the whole girlfriend plot.
