Does anyone understand how the Kryponians who landed in the second meteor shower got a spaceship?

Clark's spaceship was launched from Krypton before it exploded and the meteors that were propelled along with the ship were fragments of the planet. That makes sense.

However, if the Kryptonians from Arrival were the same ones who were put into the phantom zone before Krypton was destroyed, they did not have access to a spaceship.

And, the second meteor shower doesn't really make sense because it was not caused by Krypton exploding. Where did it come from? Why did it bring more Kryptonite?

Anyone figure this out, or do you think they will explain this later in the season?

That's a good question. But wasn't the ship Brainiac's creation? Did he lend it to Aethyr and the other guy?

well they were zods followers so i think when zod was sent away they had orders that if anything happened do so and so. i guess once zod got captured brainiac went into destroy mode to blow up krypton and the 2 aleins had been ordered when the bomb or whatever was set to take a ship from zods headquarters and take brianiac and hide out till everything has calmed down and for them to take over the planet earth when they get a signal that they have the ability to control the earth and release zod.

if a planet blows up there will be huge chunks and small chunks so i think there was a giant metor from krypton that the ship was hidden on and when they got the signal from the stone they blew that up and aimed it towards earth to make another meteor shower.

i think it will be explained at the end of everything since the first episode of the season always gets answered in the finale. like season 3 mr kents secret and season 4 the stones.

Thanks. That makes some sense.

I thought that Nam-ek and Aethyl (or whatever their names are) were trapped in the Phantom Zone with Zod and therefore they would have no chance to get a ship from Krypton before it was destroyed. But if they are different followers, maybe they had a chance to escape with the ship before the explosion.

I guess I don't really understand how Brainiac fits into the whole story, since he seemed to be somehow a "part" of the ship, but I hope you're right that it will be explained at the end of S5

So what would've happened if Lana had never killed Genevieve and Clark united the stones? Would the two aliens be forced to roam space forever?

good question but i guess that would have made much sense if she didnt kill her with the stone then the plot would be totaly different. they probably would still be waiting in space for a sign and it would have been from something else.

I think it must have been Zod's ship.

ya probably Zods main ship he used incase he ever needed it. i think its what he stored brainiac in since brainiac was i think controlled or made by zod. something like that.

It all depends on what they decide to do with Krypton's history.
For example in the animated series Zod was actually an Argonite like Supergirl and although imprisoned and eventually released with his 2 allies who were both Kryptonians. In that series Brainiac was the computer controlling most of Krypton's needs and because nobody would listen to Jor-el he made sure he alone escaped Krypton's destruction a fate only thwarted by Jor-el's refusal to take the Council's rejection and not question Brainiac's lies.
In all likelihood what will happen is that Zod was imprisoned due to the unanticipated actions of Jor-el who he ignored because he wasn't a "warrior" like himself but some weak-willed scientist (Some people never learn to watch out for the quiet ones...) Brainiac is probably little more than a separate and reprogrammed version of the original which Jor-el very likely dealt with but Zod knowing of Krypton's fate and very likely was captured before he could leave himself since that ship suggests he was planning to start his empire elsewhere only by the time that ship was awakened the signal came as a result of Clark uniting the crystals which if he hadn't would have caused Earth's destruction as a result of massive fragments of Krytpon that was caught in the wake of Clark's ship's hyperdrive with a few fragments arriving with him the rest caught in the wake including that ship which would hve otherwise not escaped Krytpon's destruction since Jor-el would and could make darn sure the ship that carried his son (and if they kept to some stories also his wife if she hadn't refused) would escape to the only place he knew his son could survive and not just because of his ability to store solar radiation but when he was there he met the perfect couple who would raise his son properly and I'm willing to bet it wasn't an accident it landed near enough for the Kents to find him I wonder if he used those clothes the older Kent gave him to provide a genetic marker allowing it to home in on them.
Okay wild guesses but it worth talking about.
