itunes has recently started to put TV shows in there music store. I think that they should put Smallville on, that would be the best.
Who else agrees?

Yeah I hope it will be soon though!!
They may be waiting to just put CW on iTunes for the fall and have their fall line up there (i.e., Smallville, Supernatural, Mercy Reef, Gilmore Girls, etc.)

it'd be great if they do, then if you started watching late like me, which i'm done seasons 1-4 but missed the beggining of season 5, so that'll let us catch up. but the pricing might be an issue tho.

Ok, I'm an iTunes lover, but I can't stand their TV service. The vid quality is just for shame. I would rather WB follow other network's business model and offer higher quality downloads/streams (with commercials) even if the quality was worthy of fullscreen viewing.
Granted last week my local WB station went kaputz for the first 9 minutes of the show and a backup source would've been nice, but I still don't know if that would get me to pay for a dinky little download version.

iTunes only gives songs from the Smallville soundtracks? What about the other songs played on the show?

a lot of people have made smallville playlists (or as they say iMIXs).....actucally, i think one person actucally made a iMIX where they had every single song ever played on smallville. there are a lot of smallville stuff on itunes.

iTunes made their own Smallville playlist made specifically for the songs played on the show. They usually post the new songs on the playlist a couple of days before the new episode airs.

I totally agree, I have an iPod video and it's a pain to convert video over to iPod form if you can't get it from iTunes.
For some reason Fox and The WB have been really resistent to the iTunes thing. I think they're missing a huge opportunity.
They'll put a special "Smallville Songs" section on iTunes but not the show? Come on WB or CW or whatever you are? Don't be the old fossil that is resistant to new changing technology.

Hey I have a question. You know how people on K-site make music vids. and stuff for Smallville and other shows? Well I own an iPod video and I have some music videos saved on my PC. Now, does anyone know if there is a way for me to get those videos onto my iPod? Sorry, I know that was a random question but we were talking about iTunes and the thought came to mind because its really been bugging me lately. Thanks. :D

iTunes is terrible video, just an extra way to leech you of your money for the same product.

It's actually no the networks that are responsible for putting episodes themselves on iTunes, it's the production company that MAKES the show that has to do it. For Smallville, this is Warner Brothers Television.
Warner Brothers Television has 4 of their shows available on iTunes: a couple CW shows -- Supernatural, Veronica Mars, One Tree Hill and some non-CW shows, such as The O.C., Friends, The West Wing, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and so on.
But a few of Warner Brothers Television's shows aren't on iTunes, including Gilmore Girls, Smallville, The Closer, Sex and the City, etc. ... it simply has to be that Warner Brothers Television hasn't seen a lot of demand for these particular shows on iTunes, as opposed to the other ones ... I'm sure if enough people wrote to Warner Brothers Television asking for Smallville to be added to iTunes, it'd eventually be added.

I think the video on iTunes is pretty darn good. Not quite HD, but as close as you can get with a 500MB file.
You get the best quality by actually watching the episodes through a TV -- like, with my laptop, I just hook it up to my TV and I swear the quality is twice as good. I love it because I can't keep episodes of my favorite shows on my DVR forever (I haven't owned a VCR since the Dark Ages, so tape recording is out of the question, and my DVR won't record to a DVD recorder), so LEGAL downloadable episodes it is :D

^ Yeah, except they ONLY have Odessey on there. I don't think that's what you'd call an improvement over having no SV episodes at all. Sure, one is better then none in most cases, but not in this one. If they're going to do one, I say upload them all.

Smallville can be ordered through this link, (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/stat?id=MNekHWKpd0k&offerid=146261&type=3&subid=0&tmpid=1826&RD_PARM1=http%253A%252F%252Fphobos.apple.com%252FW ebObjects%252FMZStore.woa%252Fwa%252FviewTVSeason% 253Fi%253D291622849%2526id%253D291313627%2526s%253 D143441%2526partnerId%253D30) though I think you need the iTunes program for it to even work.

Dude, what do you expect? At least the whole new season will be up as it airs. For all we know there may be legal restrictions preventing previous seasons from being sold there. So yeah, by its very definition, 1 is an improvement over 0. Especially since that 1 will grow every week.

Odyssey is now number 3 in the tv show charts on iTunes...It's great to see the show is still kicking some serious ass out there...and with the way everyone is getting behind the premiere I can really see the showrunners making sure this season is one to remember!!

I know this thread is a bit old, but I'm going to post anyway.
Unfortunately I had to update my iTunes to even see Odessey, but it refuses to update itself. After finding some stuff on the official site (and hopefully a solution), maybe I can
fix it. It looks like I'm not alone. I don't know what causes the problem, but if your program says you need to update, don't! It's not worth all this hassle!
I wasn't sure if I'd get my iTunes back and it upset me, but I'm going to try what I found on the site...maybe. If I'm brave enough. I don't want to lose all my music.
Okay, just wanted to warn people so they wouldn't end up in the same situation.
