Three stand alones episodes two freaks of the week featuring a mask girl and a serial killer/dead girl none of which we even know....nor will we see again. A major character has just died and they gave us a two minute focal point last week and two mentions last night. I bet these ratings will be much worst than Reckoning and very well deserved. I am so disappointed because season five started off rocking. The continuity was there and the storylines and characters progression was the best of all seasons. Now the wheels have fallen off. The air has come out of the balloon. I never thought Clark lived up to the "superior being" he is supposed to be. Let's face it. The boy can be obtuse. I am totally fine with them breaking up CLANA. It's how they're doing it that sucks. They are dropping all these anvils about how they don't trust each other now. Clark didn't tell her about moving Chloe. Lana didn't tell him she went to Lex. All for the set up of LEXANA? The one thing that is coming through is how much of a hypocrite Clark is and always has been. I can't stand watching him call Lana on being secretive when he is FULL of secrets. At least in past seasons I saw him struggle with the lying and demonstrate frustration. Lately he is just being a jerk. I don't blame Lana for ending it. Sweeps represents when shows are supposed to BRING IT. I mean come out swinging with stories just a tad better than what you normally churn out. Smallville came in with a roar this season and they are going out with a whimper.
