Smallville Plot/Arc development in this episode??

Ok so wow...what happen in this episode? The only thing that I see happening for plot development was:

1.Lex asking about Professor Fine/Brainiac.
2.Lana went to ask for help from Lex. again.
3.Lionel went to visit Martha. again.

Was it me or was this episode lame, and Just as exciting as any other FOTW episode.

can anyone else add the the main smallville plot/arc that is building up?

There is no plot.

The writers needed a short week to go kiss lana's a** so we got the short end of the stick.

you didnt pick up on the lex/lana vs. lois/clark tone of the way things were playing out?

well it kind of worked around the plot of chloe and the mental illness thing. didnt really have much to do with superman stuff but i thought the episode was good. i also think that the little lines said thru out the show will have some impact on future episodes.

every seasons since season 3 there have been character seasons. season 3 was lex's year season 4 was lana's year and this year is for chloe. so i think this was a good episode for showing more about chloes life.
