that everyone close to Clark knows his true secret that is why he wanted to get into Chloe's head so bad it made it look like he was doing it for Lana but i don't think that is the real reason he was wishing she would break and give Clark up. She never would but Belle Reeve may crack her mind a bit....You would think that by now that Lex would have tried to have Clark ubducted and interogated...we know that it would not work but Does Lex know that i doubt it.....he could make it look like a kidnapping of a senators son for ransom...Lex is the BIG DUMB ONE of the show. Clark is just to openminded and optomistic not a BDA

yea, I thought the same thing as well that Lex didn't want to help Chloe, he only wanted to pull a Lionel and try and dig out any memory that Chloe has of Clark's secret.

Wonder why Lex has no interest in Martha there is going to be no speculation weather she knows what's up with Clark why does he not attack her knowledge especially since Johnathan is gone.

I think Martha is Lionel's target, although Lion-El may still be in there and already know more about Clark than Lex ever will.

And not once for a moment did I think Lex was acting in Chloe's best interests. Finally the BDA realized it, too. In time to get her out of there before Lex spirited her away himself.

Well, actually Alicia put the burden of Clark's secret onto Chloe. Clark just honored her by coming clean with her when she clearly knew Clark was different. Also, I truly believe that if Clark thought Chloe needed help, he would not deprive her of that help just to protect his secret. He has said repeatedly over the seasons that there are some things not to be sacrificed for his secret. Even that awful reporter who got video footage of Clark's ship in the Tempest epi. As much the BDA that Clark appears to be at times, he is still the future Superman and he still stands for truth (clears throat), justice, and the American way (at least the way the American way used to be).
