Did anyone notice how Clark immediatley doubled over in pain when he was trying to attack the killer because of the kryptonite? It was pretty pathetic but then remember in Splinter, not only did he stay on his feet but he super sped out of the room and crushed the door.
I'm sure this has been discussed 10,000 times before but that kind of annoyed me.

Also Chloe said her mom left when she was 12, but I thought Chloe was 5 and her dad was making waffles?!?!?!

Exactly. I was thinking the same thing. She said she came down stairs and Dad was making waffles and Mom was gone. Wow, if we can remember, why can't they.

They did the same thing last year when referring to Jonathan HS football days. Apparently he was the QB and runningback

And did you notice how Chloe never took off the kryptonite bracelet. When Lois untied Chloe, and Clark got up, Clark should have doubled over in pain....that was bad blocking.

Oh good, I thought I was getting senile-- Chloe did say her mom left when she was 5 in another episode, now she was 12?? Could they please hire someone whow knows the Smallville episodes by heart. I'll even volunteer my services.
I personally think it's the result of too many cooks in the kitchen, and selective memory.
You would think they would know they have such a rabid fanbase that they would *try* to remember the details, but I guess inevitable sometimes. They do the same things on all shows and movies, too. It's not just SV.

when she said that I thought, "Wait a minute, when was it 12?" I almost was wondering if she was lieing to Clark but I forgot about bad writing.
Yeah, ferd is right. I've seen this done on other shows too. When too many writers come in, some small details get mixed up. It's not a big deal really.

I always thought that because Clark was under the influence of silver kryptonite it gave him the strength to speed out of the house even though there was green kryptonite there.

Let me refer you to show that have handled this situation superbly:
ALIAS, BUFFY, ANGEL, X-FILES, DEAD ZONE, SERENITY, and THE HULK (and that's the 70s for you.)
Overall, they should be able to handle this stuff. It comes down to the script editiors and AlMiles final approval before a script goes through the process before it's shot.
Besides that ladies and gentlemen, inconsistency has been going for about 3 years now.

Too many writers is a twinkie defense. We know other shows with a lot more writers Desperate Housewives, Buffy, Angel, Lost, X-Files, and etc. that had a stronger foundation and mythology. Did they have plot holes? Sure bet, but they knew their fans would be pissed if they would mess up noticeable plot holes. They thrive to be the best. SV's has always been bad. This is just lazy writing.
Not only that they had inconsistency with Clana some fans are still saying "huh I thought they were on the break. When did couple from" to the kryptonite braclet. The only way for a possession for that to work is if it the same braclet. If we didn't see him get the same braclet from the corspe, then it ain't sticken.
I'm certainly not making excuses--I think it is wholly annoying, but sadly something that TPTB obviously don't find as important as we do.
It's amazing to me how creators don't put as much importance on details as the fans do--you would think they would treat the show like their baby, and know everything about it.
I heard when they made "Revenge of the Sith" they had to add in the shot much later of Obi-wan taking Anakin's lightsaber. That they totally forgot that Obi gives it to Luke in the OT. I mean that's a MAJOR thing to forget. Imagine George Lucas spending hundreds of thousands of dollars perfecting special effects scenes and then forgetting to shoot a vital piece that connects his saga.
It is disheartening that they don't value their own mythology more, but ya know, such is life, I guess. :\

I thought I remembered this too. I wasn't sure though until I seen your post if I remembered it wrong.
