Why the hell didn't we get to see Chloe's mom's face?! That pissed me off BAD! Didn;t it you? Is there a logical explaination why they didn't show her face?

they probably either are going to have her mom return at a later date and aren't sure if they are going to use the same actress and/or they couldn't find an actress that resembled chloe enough, to play her mother.

I'm still going with the idea that the mom was played by Chloe unless we see in the credits that some did indeed played Chloe's mom.

Yeah, they left it open for someone else to play the part, and/or suspense for when she shows up out of nowhere.

You'll just have to tune in next week to find out about Chloe's mom. It's an old trick, keep 'em guessing and wanting more.

in all honesty, i believe it was so they wouldn't have to pay her for the episode.
the show does infomercials now so i wouldn't put it past them.

Maybe Helen Slater wasn't available when it was filmed. :D

maybe they wanted to make the scene more dramatic by not showing her face or something.

It was definately a big let down not seeing her face, but hopefully it means that we'll see her again and that they won't just drop this.

They didn't want to cast an actor, Maybe use Chloe's mom next season of something, and then not be able to have the same actor. Remember how awful it was with Morgan Edge?

that was the second time in a row the episode ends with a character crying on their mom

The reason they didn't show Chloe's mom's face, in my humble opinion, is because it wasn't important. The important thing in the scene was Chloe's reaction to seeing her mom, not Mrs. Sullivan. I think it was a nice cinematic technique, focusing on the main character's emotional reaction rather than its cause.

I too was pissed we did not get to see her mom's face but it was a great emotion scene. They probly do want to bring her back at a later time hopefully and the best bet is not showing a face in case that actor/actress is not avaible at a later time and replacing the person with some one else who totally does not look the same. Smart move but still would have liked to see her face.

I'm actually ok with not seeing her face. Leaves more to the Chloe/Ms Sullivan mystery to unravel later. I was too busy crying to be bothered anyway. Such a beautiful moment.

Nice take on it. Yes, Chloe's reaction of trepidation entering the room then approaching her Mom, and breaking down in tears said so much more than the sight of Mrs. Sullivan's face. Still, it's very possibly just a plot device to leave us hanging. Tune in again next week for another exicitng episode in The Adventures of Superman!!!! (oh, wait, wrong era of show...)

Maybe she's the Vice-president from Prison Break.
(It rang of when on; "A Very Brady Christmas", at the end when Sam comes back to Alice, as "Santa". With a disturbingly different voice than the original Sam; who moved on to Mel's Diner.)
I'd have liked to have seen Mother and Chloe face to face, personally. At least a glimpse.
