Jump the Shark.

This episode sucked.

For a guy from another planet, he just can't believe that strange things happen. In Smallville of all places:confused:

I really hope I'm wrong:(

Nah, I don't think this was a jump the shark moment. The ep wasn't great, but it was not the worst by far (remember Ageless anyone?). Not every ep in every season can be great.

This shouldve been the halloween episode or something.

This episodes ending made it good without the ending this episode would have been nothing.

This episode was ok but was highly overhyped in the forums. It wasn't intense (scary) and was just a mediocre episode. I didn't believe much of what was said in the forums because otherwise, I would have been let down like many people tonight.

I am not precisely positive that smallville jumped the shark.
But someone just offered the gang to Hollywood. Maybe Richie will get a movie deal, and fonzie is going to the beach to check things out. What is that in the water over there with the big fin?

I don't think Smallville has jumped the shark yet.

though it probably will be argued that the 100th episode will be it.

besides, i still don't get why people are so angry over that.... Yes, I know about the Crisis plot.. but remember... that clark grew up in kansas in the 30s.

This clark has lived through the 90s... so lighten up.... John "Bo" was one of the bright spots of the series... but they said from the beginning that the opening smallville sequence of the Richard Donner movie was their jumping off point... the inspiration for where they'd go. Johnathan Kent died in the movie... and If you polled people.. I'm willing to bet you that aside from people who wondered about "Lois & Clark" the majority of people who say they know superman... don't have the slightest clue that dad was ressurected by a mass comic rewrite.

I liked it....I thought it was intense and scary but that the climax was paced wrong.

Agree not every episode can be top notch. Eventhough i thought it was good.

Yeah and after Clark and Cyborg bust some heads they'll head over to Nocturnal Night Club in South Beach.

I agree that every episode can't be great, but come on, atleast throw us a bone every once and a while. The whole relationship with Lana and Clark needs to stop. It's getting old.

I've seen worse :: cough:: Exposed :: cough:: but this episode isn't high on my list either. The acting was soild but the storyline for this eppy, was a little like .."what the fu.."

The whole creepy crazy orderlie was just plain bad.

Ep. 100 was decent- there were major shark sightings when Thirst and Exposed ran back to back.

Tomb would have been fine as a Monster of the Week X-files or Buffy, but it had absolutely nothing to do w/ Smallville and was obviously just filler.

I loved the ep, i thought it was a great story and much better than the filler eps of seasons past.

Ha-Ha; this is a little off-topic; but it's in reguards of opera-ghost or whatever, I was so upset that J-Kent died in Ep 100; that I decided to netflix Lois & Clark the new adventures of Superman, cuz J-Kent was alive in that one.. Along w/ all the comics I've ever read.. And the one that I am thinking of kind of relates to the Smallville series, since the comic had other super-heros' in it as well as how Smallville implies like The Flash from RUN Cybor, Aquaman etc., etc.
I just wish they'd keep the GENERAL concept the same & do stuff diff. like have him hook up w/ Chloe or the passing of Lana, be different, start a new trend!!!
Dont make things so obvious..
:(
/end rant

I don't entirely agree. The ep wasn't my favorite, but it did give us a little more insight into Chloe and set up a potentially interesting story line with Chloe and her mom.

D'Oh! Thou shalt not compare SVille to one of the Holy Shows! :p

I thought this was a pretty good episode! it wasn't perfect but it was still very good. and the final scene was very touching in my opinion. I am so glad that Chloe finally went to see her mom!

I thought it was a good idea and parts of it were great, but the storyline would better fit a two hour show. They needed to develop the killer more and not add scenes that had nothing to do with the story line (Martha part..sry)

But I thought the acting was great..MR not so much, but I really liked the first Lana/Chloe scene

This was probably the worst episode of season 5, sadly. :( And it did nothing to further the storylines of the three main leads. I see no point to it whatsoever. Very disappointed.

Mod Note - There's already a JUMP THE SHARK thread in the Main Section and this thread is de-evolving into the same debates as usual, which is CLOSE worthy alone. If you all want to review the show, there's a thread for it. Post there. Not in an individual thread.
