The description on my tv it says the killer has been killing people for 10 years. is it just me or does it seem odd that in the last 5 seasons no one has noticed people randomly dying and there bodies missing? maybe this will be explained tonight but i would think clark would have found all this out a while ago.

Well, in the past five seasons they haven't gone to Metropolis much until this year. Also there are lots of murders in cities, so it plausable that this guy has been around and we've never heard about him before.

Clark has been killing FOTWs for 5 years and no one seems to notice or care about them either.

LOL, no one seems to notice the unusual murder rate in Smallville, with normal run of the mill pyshco's, meteor freaks going kill happy and getting killed themselves...I guess thats why Smallville is so small.

i always find it funny that no one ever cares about anything going on like its normal. like always in superman its so obvious its clark yet he wears tights and flys and everyone is like ok its superman and no one finds it amazing that he can fly.

I guess they are used to it in Smallville, one week someone tries to kill and do things to them that would mentally distubured a normal person for the rest of their lives. But in Smallville, they just go on with their lives like nothing ever happened.

Lex does eventually go "Super Evil" so not everyone ends up emontionaly unscathed in the end.

I agree! First of all, until now the show was mainly focused in Smallville and itīs own crimes, only in the second half of the fourth season have the writers began to shift the direction towards Metropolis which why we have this gradual change in scenery to finaly arrive at this current point where Metropolis plays a big part in Clarkīs life! So therefore we couldnīt have known what happened to those girls in the last ten years, I mean during the first five years, Smallville Universe didnīt exist, and during the next five years Metropolis has only gradualy been introduced into Clarkīs focus, and itīs not like he can catch everu criminal all at once!

it does seem wierd. That was actually one of the first things I though.

I guess the bodies pile up so high that no one really cares who puts them in the morgue.

I know some of the spoilers mentioned this, but did they ever say it in the episode? The only killing I heard mentioned was the girl they found in the wall.
