I don't think it much matters if its a body double because its still suspose to be "Chloe". KK had a body double for the Nicodemus strip tease, but it was still "Lana."

But you're right, LOL...being a girl is probably the biggest reason why I rather see Tom or Micheal in the shower! Although..I am sure some boys would like to see them as well. :lol:

I second that! As for Chloe, I suppose it´s only fair she gets a shower scene! I mean Lana had several, I think even Lois had one or two, so I guess it´s Chloe´s turn now! And judging from the preview it was done in a nice and tasteful fashion, from a far so you can´t realy see too much, and she was mostly shown after the shower so no big deal!

This could be a very scary scene. It looks like she gets attacked right after, but it reminds me of Psycho. It could be really creepy.

Let´s say it like this, it´s going to take alot of bribing! To help you along, Imagine this, a ballroom, Lex and Clark in tuxidos, yourself or some other ´alive and breathing´ female in a gown dancing to one of those musical songs! maybe smallville for season 6 will decide to have everything take place in the shower. clark goes to the fortress and takes a shower while talking to jor el and turns into a giant block of ice. lex and lana have a talk about spaceships and little green men in a bathtub surrounded by candles. lionel and martha get married in the shower. lois trcks down lucy in a race car the shape of a bathtub. pete comes back to promote the shower sponge wich helps clean dirty and grim off the toughest surfices.

Sounds great! But anything by the Pussycatdolls reminds me of "Don't cha" or whatever that song was called..and stripping..which reminds me of Patriotic Stripper Lois. Shower Scene was done for ratings.
The only reason to hype the shower scene was to entice the viewers to watch.
Too bad the writers could not realize a good story ala episode 100 is what brings people in. I am not bashing seeing a beautiful woman in a shower, but I watch smallville for the plot not the eye candy. I assume your average tv watcher is the same. CSI is the number one show, not for the eye candy but the drama and suspense and thought that goes into the story.

For all the long view full body sillouette shots yes. But this is standard practice and usually these shots are filmed by the second unit.

The close up shots where we go into the shower and you see the actress from the shoulders up is obviously real but they are wearing swimwear of some kind below the shoulder level. This does two things, it simulates implied nudity and ensures the actress's comfort level while filming. Being the show is on primetime television and the limits of what they can show they would never force the actress to film the close up scene nude.

But the Chloe shower scene was pretty nice overall. It really was the characters turn given practically everone else has had one.

It was gratuitous and ridiculously so. It IS possible to indicate a character is in the shower without showing nudity (maybe, oh, a more opaque shower curtain and a head peeking out to answer someone's question?). On this level, it is as ridiculously gratuitious as the Lana shower debacle.

However, it was refreshing to see no signs of a body double. Chloe, her curves, and her Chloeavage were 100% Mack-a-licious. Mack-tacular. Mack-tastic. Mack-nificent. Lip S-Mack-in' Good. Mack-abulous. MackaMackaMackaMackMackWOOWOOWOO. There. I believe I've thoroughly indicated how Mack-Mack-Mack-Mack-BOOM it was.

gratuitous shots of both me and women is something the writers can come up with on a fairly regular basis.

requires almost no thought, eats upa couple of minutes of airtime (that the writers simply couldn't fill due to lack of creativity).

and it is the only plot device that never gets old.

Why do people have the bring up the thing about using body doubles? It kinda ruins the excitement of the rest of us. Besides we don't really know how AM feels about being nude infront of the camera, she might accually like it ya never know. :)

Anyway, i still enjoyed seeing her in the shower she wasn't really naked. :)
