That ending scene with Jonathan on TV

I thought that ending scene of watching Jonathan on TV was 10x better and more dramatic than any scene in episode #100.

Does anyone else agree?

I dont know about 10x better, but it was pretty damn dramatic.

This scene definitely helped give Clark the closure he needed for losing JK. I thought that it was very touching and brought a tear to my eye. Yes, I'm a sentimental schmuck, but who cares, it makes good tv.

The ending of Vengeance was done with class. Even though John Schnieder has left Smallville;it's still a good show.

Yup, I agree too. The fact that he even says, "Good-Bye" provides a nice sense of (relative) closure to his character.

Was that young Clark the same young Clark from season 1? I couldn't tell, and you never see the young Clark very close up.

It was more dramtic esp to see Clark's reactions finally to the death of his dad, really sad. And too see in a way JK final goodbyes, just heartbreaking.

I thought both the funeral scene in episode #100 and the end scene of "Vengeance" were fantastic. I cried through both of them.

The funeral scene was fabulous because of its starkness. The primarily black and white scene with the snow coming down and the eerie calmness of the people were a good metaphor for the shock of Jonathan's death. It was clear that Clark and Martha were upset but not yet dealing with it too well.

In contrast, the end of "Vengeance" was more of a heartfelt acclaimation of how much Jonathan will be missed and a coming to grips with that. The emotions finally come full circle.

It was a needed touch to say good bye to JK on the show. I truely enjoyed it.

The final scene in Vengeance provided a touch of class for a very classy character. Jonathan deserved at least that much.
Now if they would only pay a respectful goodby to the sheriff.

I think it was. he definitely looked the same.
