Is Lex's lifestyle out of control? Trouble is afoot when Lex is found next to a dead one night stand...

It started out interesting to me but just turned boring after awhile. One of my least favorite episodes. :(

Season 4 turned to crap after this episode

I actually really liked this episode. It had good funny moments, and a lot of character revelations in it. Clark got to see a side of Lex that he really didn't know about before. Yeah, Lex had his dark spots, but Clark never really saw him using people before. At least not to this level. (Yeah, we all know what Lex did to Nixon and the Hardwicks, but Clark doesn't really know that.)

It was stupid because I never for a second thought that Lex actually killed the woman. Imo its the worst of the Lexisodes.

I liked it because it was a Lex episode, but Clark shouldn't have rescued him. It should have just been Lex and his former lover dealing with each other.

Clark. I'm dark and evil. I've had affairs with women, and now I feel remorse. Oh, and here's Mrs. Teague appearing in Lana/Isobels' dream, and Lionel having a hannibal moment.

Season 4's worst:

Ageless
Spell
Spirit
Bound
Gone

(which is weird, because before Season 4, the total number of episodes I wasn't big on was 4)

One of the less memorable episodes IMO. One of the few things in this episodes that really caught me off guard is when the girl revealed herself from within a hair pinned up and hiding with plain glasses.(sound familiar) How can anyone think including Lex,that the killer lover was hiding behind glasses all this time?

Another thing when Clark went to save Lex once again, this time from killer lover, who wanted to burn Lex up in circle of fire, what did he do..he took off his jacket and and just..umm just swung it in the air in circular motion like hi oh silver away or something, Even though that part was interesting, that was probably when the freeze breath should have been used. Oh well.

I didn't think episode was that bad. Compared to a lot of the Luke Schlessas written episodes, this one is pretty good. It gave a lot of good character development on Lex's part and showed his transition in evil pretty well.

I enjoyed it but never figured out why having one night stands meant you were evil. Most one night stands end with the person never seeing you again, not sending you diamond earrings that cost a small fortune. I really enjoyed the struggle between Clark Lionel and Lex, but am surprised he ever considered Lex would have killed the girl. He's seen a bad side of him but never to this point something like THAT. It should also have been obvious that it wasn't Lex's style with how obvious it was. Overall it was good, loved the opening - the air started getting a bit warm ;)

Agree with the one night stand bit. It was blatenty the girl that was wacko jacko (usually is, lol). It may of been a previous lifestyle of lexs's but so what clark. Stop taking the moral high ground on everything its wearing thin, i mean uve had ur red-k times, dont see everyone keep bringing them up!!!

All in all liked the loonieness of the epsidoe, made a change not to see an episode not involving a meteor freak.

Hard choice, wonder what Kent said?

The elevator-bedroom seduction scene was too long and boring.

Lex: "You got your health, Dad. Don't Expect another miracle." still harboring anger from 3.19 Memoria one of the best episodes.

I wonder what went throuh Lex's toughts when he looked back as he left the prison? I want to know the sub-text in that.

Lex: "Don't give up on me yet...' one of the best scenes.

I really didn't care much for htis one.
Ok, I know that Clark doesn't trust Lex much anymore by this time but to actually think that Lex killed this chick?! First of all, farmboy, turn on your brain! This 'murder' was so badly plotted, put together and obvious that no way would Lex had perpetrated it. Sheesh! If you can't trust Lex at least give him credit for, you know, not being an idiot.
But Bound had one really great scene in it that made up for everything.
The Chlark scene in the elevator!
Clark's expression, Chloe's moves, it all added up to comic gold.
This scene is the only reason to watch this episode.

What did I think of the episode Bound?

I especially liked the Clark and Lionel dialogues (or what people would say, Clark & Lionel ships. But since I don't ship, I'll tell you what I liked about the Clark & Lionel dialogue, or transcripts). Clark tells Lionel Lex thinks he's trying to frame him. Clark asks Lionel, "Are you trying to frame Lex?" "No, Clark." Clark asks Lionel, "Why should I believe you?" Lionel tells Clark he just wants to help Lex and he also tells Clark that he had a liver disease that was a death sentence. Lionel says he felt a different kind of energy had been inside him. "Something strong and good. I was changed and my liver had been healed," says Lionel honestly (that episode was from Transference). (Also, did anyone notice that Lionel had dark circles under his eyes before he was changed in Transference; after his body went back to being Lionel once again, the dark circles under his eyes had disappeared. If you rewatch the episode Transference, you'll notice it). Lionel told Clark it was miraculous. Lionel says to Clark, "I could see...the darkness ...the destructive power that had always been inside me. I can see it in Lex now. I want to help him, Clark."

There was a nice Clark, Martha & Jonathan dialogue/or transcript. Clark defends Lionel to Ma & Pa Kent and tells them Lionel has changed and that Lionel's liver is healed. "I think something in me actually healed Lionel. Lionel thinks it's a miracle." "It is," agrees Martha Kent. "Look, I know this sounds crazy, but I really think Lionel has changed. I could see it in his eyes." I think, in my opinion, those were the best Clark Kent quotes from the episode Bound. Clark Kent saying nice things about Lionel Luthor. (I remember Tom Welling saying he wanted to work more with John Glover. Tom Wellings says he's such a good and talented actor).

Even Clark was defending Lionel in front of Lex, because Lex was as usual, always blaming things on his father and saying mean things about his father, Lionel. Clark says to Lex, "Lex, the last few days, I thought your father was being more honest with me than you were, and I hated that feeling. I felt like we were enemies." I'll never forget Lex's response to Clark, the classic Lex quotes: "Don't give up on me, yet, Clark!"

Bound was a great episode, especially the Clark & Lionel scenes, and the Martha, Clark & Jonathan scenes.

Definitely just watched this episode, and I can't stop watching the Chlark attraction. When Chloe pushes him up against the elevator and goes "Hi". They were just about to kiss! Gotta love the Chlarky goodness! :D

I think this has got to be one of the most underrated episodes of the entire series along with Rogue in Season 1. I can't believe what I've read in some of the comments stating that this episode was boring and terrible. It just goes to show how clueless some people are. I wish I could knock some childish heads together and get you to watch this intriguing episode again and the intriguing tragic story of Lex Luthor. I think people again have missed the significance of this episode.

The idea behind this episode is to gain more insight into the bad boy past of Lex Luthor and what corruption and darkness of power and greed brings someone to the point of sleeping with many women and showing little or no care for their own destructive/sinful actions. In many ways this reminds of the episode Zero, how Lex's actions have consequences. The difference between Zero and Bound is Lex has somewhat continued the trend rather than overcome them no matter how much he has confessed to his sins. This growing dark force inside him as Lionel put it to Clark is the same destructive influence he had when he had that power. In some ways, Clark has noticed it for a while now in Lex's character and even Lionel in prison who raised him and intimidated him, abusing him emotionally so that his son can become "strong" or in other words become as corrupt. I like how they portray the sinful actions of Lex refering to the same acts Lionel committed. They bring up the fact how much Lex is upbringing and the relative genes within the family, continuing the same "patterns" and destructive, corrupt acts. Afterall, they are family and carry the same genes, so Lex is using the same "patterns" as his father did. I like how Lionel brings up that the women who have brown hair reminds him of Lilian shows you how the tragic character of Lex Luthor still struggles to overcome the death of his mother. All Lex's victims have brown hair so the idea there was clever of how this man still struggles to overcome his past. It just goes to show along with all the other devious actions of Lex Luthor particularly in Season 4, how much help he needs pshycholigically from those people around him especially Clark and his father who claims to have changed.

My favourite scene was in the Loft when Clark and Lex had that conversation. Clark is now growing frustrated with Lex and what he's becoming. While Lex confesses that he is in the wrong he gives an honest but emotional plea to Clark not give up on him yet. Clark put it bluntly to Lex that he only cares about himself. For the time being Clark will continue to support him in time of need to overcome his mental and pshychological problems whether in the past, present or future. What Clark realises now is that it's not the same Lex as in previous years and as he put it feels more and more like their enemies. Obviously he has suspicions about him being Segeeth as his greatest enemy, his suspicions with Lex along with the ulterior motives like getting Jason fired because for Lana's sake as though he claims. However, abandoning Lex with his problems and his apetite for power and knowledge could be detrimental to Clark. I'm sure deep down he cares alot about Lex but it's obvious he's losing hope and increases his determination that he cant trust him especially when it comes to his secret as we learn later in this season. Jonathan Kent continues to conclude that Lionel and Lex "will never change" because he's always believed what their motives really are but as for Clark he has that little hope still left in him to bring them back from the brink especially his best friend Lex.

Overall for me a fantastic and brilliantly executed storyline with superb acting from MR especially when he gets emotional. Fascinating to watch!

Something is wrong here in this episode -
Lex says in this episode that he was a fundraiser at the hotel, and later when clark speak to Lionel Clark tells him that Lex took the girl to the hotel in his Ferrari. These facts doesn't fit together unless Lex slept at another hotel, but that would be odd since he's already at a hotel and could sleep there.

Bleeeeehhhhhhhhh... I ALMOST absolutely despise this episode. The whole concept of it rather disturbs me... The only redeeming element of the whole sordid affair was the Chlark scene in the elevator. Man, why'd that stinkin' mother of twins have to interrupt what could've been an incredible Chlark kiss?! Anyway, in spite of that glimmer of awesomeness, I can only afford to give "Bound" 2 out of 10 pity-present earrings for being pretty much just plain awful.

I didn't undertand either. And why did Lex and everyone else feel sorry for those women? They were not victims.

Clark (catching Lex burning some incriminating evidence): Lex! What are you doing?
Lex: Saving my ass, Clark!

Chloe (explaining to Clark how she got some information): She may know people at the top, but I know people at the bottom and they work for tips.
