Clark gets in trouble after he beats up a drunken bully who was assaulting Lana. Helen's ex-boyfriend (Anson Mount) comes to town and he doesn't seem like a very nice guy. Lex comes to a decision regarding his relationship with Helen, and asks her to marry him.

Camille Mitchell makes her first appearance as Sheriff Nancy Adams.

What is the relevance of the episode title in conjunction to the story?

I liked the Helen/Lex story line and I liked the introduction of the new sheriff but there was way too much Clana angst in this. I dont mind Lana but geesh

I think it refers to Lex almost going over the edge by killing Helen's stalker.

Or it might have been how Clark and Lex started to take the law into their own hands.

mmk, lana, instead of getting all mad that clark's saved your ass a million times, maybe a thank you would be better than "I can take care of myself"

the song that came on when lana did her kick was the most horrible thing.

I liked this episode. I thought it was good how Lana learned how to fight and in the end put it to good use but kmimi said the song that was played during he spin kick was absolutely terrible. Made me cringe really. But good ep nevertheless

I hated Sheriff Nancy Adams. She reminded me of lunchladies from elementary school that had fun with their "power" and wouldn't let us kids out to recess until we were completely silent. Also, she kinda reminded me of Reba. I actually kind of like Reba, though.

ok, there is a song that plays at the end of the episode called "don't fear the reaper" by some guy?/band? named gus. Does anyone have this song?! I have been looking everywhere for it, but i can't find it. If you do have it, can you tell me where i can get it?!

I like how Lana kick that guy as. Was'nt that guy bigger then Clark. Her spin kick was awesome. Why could'nt she kick that guy ass from viod

He might be bigger than Clark, but he isn't exactly impervious to pain like Clark is.

Somehow I liked this episode quite a bit. Y'know, with Lana being able to kick butt, and that aftermath that Helen Bryce had after her ex-boyfriend Paul Hayden had attacked and nearly tried to kill her. Though to be attacked like that, surely Helen would have felt traumatized, poor woman =( But yeah I really liked this episode quite a bit, and Emmanuelle Vaugier is so beautiful, so yup, loved this episode and I'm re-watching the ones with Helen in them =)

So, Clark was concerned (when he learned that Lana was going to learn to defend herself) that Lana might end up in trouble she can't handle. And I though that's why women train self-defense, to be able to defend themselves from trouble.

Man, is Clark a sexist or what?

I watched this last night. I loved the part where Lana kicked that guys ass. And Clark's smile at the end was knee-melting.

The college kid in this episode looked like an old man. Also, I don't like that Lana went to the back of the Talon when Clark was beating up those guys. Why did she do that? She just caused problems for Clark.

ONE OF THE WORST EPISODE EVER!!!!No FOTW, plots were boring and weak, and lana just complains after clark saves her life. This would be my least favorite episode ever but S4s Bound sucked even worse

Kinda interesting, but bad episode. I think that creepy piece of puke stalker got away way too easily! If I were Lex, I would have punched him repeatedly in the face after bringing him down, breaking his nose and make him eat his own teeth.
This episode had way too many plot holes.. like why were Helen going to that lab anyway? and how did that annoying sheriff find them in the trainstation?
It doesn't make any sense
